Hi all We are looking for a place to rent from late November for a 6 or 12 month lease. We need 3 beds or more, 2 bathrooms, 2 car spaces and we have 2 cats so needs to be Pet friendly. We are keeping an eye on Domain & Real Estate.com & Gumtree but thought I'd also post on here in case anyone is renting out their property. We are looking from North Beach upwards, and really like Ocean Reef/Iluka/Burns beach - would prefer to be in walking distance or short drive to the beach. Up to $700 p/w but want to keep it nearer $550 if we can. Is for me, my hubby and 6 month old son. We have good references, are non smokers and very clean and tidy (bit OCD to be honest ) Thanks!

Hello, I'm Sarah and am moving to Perth with my husband Simon and 6 month old son Ted in early November, working in the CBD. We are from the UK but are currently living in Sydney. We moved here 4 years ago and am now moving to Perth with work for lifestyle reasons (Sydney property is too expensive!) I found this site really good for meeting people in Sydney and so am trying again for our next move! We are probably going to live in one of the northern suburbs from North Beach up to about Burns Beach/Iluka but may possibly end up south depending on where my husband gets a job. Let me know if you are keen to catch up when we arrive or if anyone else is making the move around that time. Keen to meet other families for play dates, BBQs and beers ... or wine.. Just wanted to share our good news and give others some hope! nomination submitted 26 August 2014 visa app submitted 8 nov 2014 nomination approved and visa granted 11 March 2015 so relieved! employer was asked to submit docss a couple of weeks ago and I was asked for a doc earlier today. woo hoo!!

Just a quick update. Our nomination was submitted on 26 August. Heard today that they've requested more docs. It's with team 6 in nsw. Think parramatta. Hoping once docs are submitted we'll have an answer shortly. Hoping my husbands employer does this quickly bit not holding out much hope-they've not been great so far. Great to get some news tho. We are direct stream no MA.

Thought I'd add our details to the mix. My husband is being sponsored via the ENS 186 direct entry. He already has a 457 but we didn't want to wait 2 years to apply for PR via the transition scheme. nomination submitted 26.8.14 - waiting for approval application submitted 8.11.14 including all docs, form 80's, medicals and Aus & UK police checks so hopefully they don't need anything else. We don't have an MA. Hoping to have an answer on the nomination soon .....

I'm 32 and live in Concord so really near to you - I am living with my brother in law and his girlfriend (age 32 and 30) and my husband is joining us at the weekend - he's 37. Hi all, have done some research on this but would appreciate your advice/comments on the best way to move from a 457 to another (perm residency) visa. The 457 is great but I feel stuck with my employer and need a long term plan as to how I can stay in oz and eventually get another job without always having to find a sponsor. Thanks

Hi, i'm 32 and moved to Sydney 7 weeks ago to start a new job. My husband is in the uk and will follow me out when our house sale completes-which is taking forever!
