  1. Hi Nasim, this agencies do control and investigations for DIAC but it is quite strange that a drc application takes that long. Are u from high risk country? where did u applied and for what job position?
  2. Mine doesn't even reply to email or phone call...for him it is only a matter of waiting! Does it make any difference if your MA chases up with Immi about your application?
  3. You can go in person or look for the contact details on the Immigration website BUT I wouldn't waist their time calling as they are quite always rude as, and I can understand, they are always under pressure with a lot of work to do...so your call will take time from their "real" job (working on applications). As I sad it is better if you contact the "general" office: they don't have many information but at least they can say if you have a case officer or not. For what concerns your RED inquiry I totally agree with lachicalatinabex even if a different job position, like doctors or engineers, from my point of view can make the difference in terms of how fast goes the application. Mate you are a cook soooo...not that relevant to have it processed before someone else because of a busy December.
  4. I don't know what is your situation. What have you done after the refusal in 20120 and what have you been doing until today (studying, working etc...). Maybe with more information we can give you our point of views (even if talking with a migration agent or lawyer is better!)
  5. If you ask to Immigration they will say January/February but apparently it will take less (Perth and Paramatta are working better than Melbourne)...by the way nobody can really tell you how long it is going to take. We can only guess!!!
  6. either way if you can go to the office (general information) or you call the rsms department give your name and explain your situation and ask why you don't have received yet the akn letter
  7. I am quite sure that your partner doesn't need any Ielts test if you are already permanent resident but it may be different if you are getting sponsor (like under the RSMS program).
  8. I have been told that if expires after you lodge the application they won't ask you to resit the Ielts (keep in mind that for PR purpose the validity of the English test is 3 years)
  9. this is from yesterday: Parramatta ENS 16 May 2012 RSMS 7 May 2012 Melbourne ENS 20 January 2012 RSMS 20 January 2012 Perth ENS 18 June 2012 RSMS 20 March 2012 What do you mean that your case is in MRT? Also are you DRC?
  10. just an update: Parramatta ENS 16 May 2012 RSMS 7 May 2012 Melbourne ENS 20 January 2012 RSMS 20 January 2012 Perth ENS 18 June 2012 RSMS 20 March 2012 I don't understand Perth!!!
  11. Congrats...I hope you will keep following this thread waiting for all of us :-)
  12. I don't get it! If you applied DRC why Diac shouldn't process your application for what it is!?! This means that your app is on the pipeline?
  13. I agree my MA did the same...call him
  14. Do you mean the one for non-Drc? this is what I have just received...Perth is still the same as for the last couple of weeks but look at Paramatta!!! Parramatta ens 16 May 2012 rsms 7 May 2012 Melbourne ens 20 January 2012 rsms 20 January 2012 Perth ens 21 May 2012 rsm 20 March 2012
  15. Apparently NON drc are taking quite long. I don't remember but you can reed through the last week posts in this thread for the official Immi processing timeline. Anyway the situation should be: Paramatta is processing May applications, Melbourne January and Perth March. If you have lodged yours at the end of May you are going to wait at least until February/March next year. Mine was Drc and I have already been waiting for more than 4 months without any further communication after the acknowledgement letter.
  16. non DRC follow by months BUT what is important is WHEN did you apply? By the way at the moment it SEEMS like non DRC are taking around 8/10 months to be allocated to Case Officer and DRC are around 4 (except for those who, like me, applied late on June than it is going to take around 5/6 months)
  17. @Mohit The requirements are in the job description under the ANZCO code: briefly for chef (de partie included) you need more than just the Cert IV and the Diploma that you mentioned. I know it for sure as I have been working as Chef de partie but I couldn't apply as chef but cook because of my studies (the same as you) and the work experience (required 2 years AFTER studies period)
  18. He is FullTimeEmployee: 1 with the sponsor and 0.5 with another employer (so kind of part-time, maybe less than 20hours)... I guess.
  19. me and my sister we went through the same scenario for the temporary and scanned originals were fine. The certification is required only when you send hard copies that must be "authenticate" as copy of an existing original documents.
  20. usually the co wants scanned originals attached. I they need they will, never heard, certified copies by post mail.
  21. Hi everybody. just registered My timeline: Rsms Drc 119, Perth, cook Rcb applied: beginning June - approved: middle of July Nomination+Visa Application: 28th June Acknowledgment letter: middle of July I went to the Immi office for other reasons and as I was already there I have asked about my application and they said they are processing January cases! I don't get it: I told them that my was DRC but the answer was just: "yes but we received so many applications and also so many unexpected drc that it is going to take quite a long time!". and before leaving they said:"look, if you do not hear anything before end of January/beginning of February give us a call!" ahahah I was about to cry!!! I am sure that my is DRC as I am using a very good lawyer and I know all the documents that he send them. What I don't understand is why today I have been told all those horrible :arghh: things!!!
