  1. provide the last one ,they just want to see that your report is no more than 3 years old.
  2. Hello everybody .Now I know that this may sound a bit weird but can I change state while remainning regional and still be eligible for PR?To be more detailed ,if I move to another state ,other than the one which initially sponsored me for the 489 state sponshorship visa ,if I live and work in a regional area will that still count torward the criteria for PR?I am asking because it is not stated that you have to live for two years and work for one IN THE SAME STATE that sponsored you ,rather it is ment that you can live in regional areal without any limitations.Anyone who knows that for sure plz advise.

  4. TRA = the acronym for Trades Recognition Australia. You can claim to be a plumber ,a carpenter an electrician etch.TRA is the body wich decides wether you are or not.Propably you didnt have to go through skilled immigration or as British you used VETASSES.For a number of countries you are obliged to assessed by TRA against certain criteria.Hope that helps.
  5. you gotta pay a visit to a TAFE that has programs for plumbers. It is more than certain that you have to do a gap trainning and to work under supervision for a year or two.For more details you should contact the relevant body responsible for issuing the professional licences.I wish I could help you more.I have just finished with TRA as a plumber and I didnt had the time to see exactly what it takes.I think that if you have your TRA assessment complete and positive you are eligible in obtaining a provisional licence though I am not so sure.In any case google is your friend.
  6. You have no idea mate.I 've been a plumber and self-employed for 15 years.I used to have 3-5 employees on permanent basis. Now I hardly find something to do for a couple of days per week. Now consider that my expenses has doubled and my income is one third of what it used to be.And I consider my self to be an optimist...
  7. Hi Yannis .I would like to send you a PM but since you are new I am not allowded.Check it out.
  8. I send them an official confirmation from the tax agency stating the complete time I have been a self-employed along with some invoices and private contracts.Do not loose your faith ,send back all they are asking for.In a couple of months you will have the positive answer you are looking for.Look at the bight side ;now you know exactly what you need to send them in addition.I also asked from my accountat to declare that my income is based exclusively on my job as a self-employed.The funny thing is that they didnt even bother to authanticate anything ,they didnt call nor emailed anyone.wish me luck for the 23 of march ,thats when I will propably sit the IELTS again.
  9. you can google TRA online portal. The first result is the form where you are supposed to fill in the ref num that you got.then you should see your status.Alternativelly you can find it here https://extranet.deewr.gov.au/trades/Interface/Pages/Security/Logon.aspx .I think that you have to register yourself firstly so you can have a login and a password.Good luck with it ,that was quite soul consuming.Nevertheless if you follow the instructions you have nothing to fear.
  10. Without being a lawyer or a registered migration agent ,the way I see it is that you sign the contract , in order the employer to be safe for the expences he made to sponsor you.I also believe that DIAC is refered to the expences the employer does for your 457 visa, and that is fair; you shouldn't ask the employee to cover those expences.Nevertheless DIAC is not reffered (according to my perception ) if YOU break the contract (that's fair too).Imagine you being in your employer shoes ,having done all that expences just to pay (again)for your sponsoree airfair back.It just dont seem right to me.
  11. I think the key words that you used were "depressed".If he realy is then you have to understand that he has lost interest in almost everything and he has a tentency to postpone everything.Talk with him and find out what he thinks and needs.Visit a doctor if necesary ,there's nothing to be ashame of.
  12. You will first see the online portal changing status from "awaitting assessment" to "successful" or "unsuccessful".The letter comes next within a week by snail-mail.
  13. Also a friend of mine also located in Greece had a successful outcome a few days ago.It took TRA also exactly 10 weeks but keep in mind that his occupation too is in great demand. He is an air condition mechanic and I am a plumber.I red an article somewhere in the internet that electricians ,plumbers and air condition mechanics are prioriotized in being assessed. It seems that it already took effect.
  14. I think that if you do everything by the numbers you will not face any problem with TRA.You need to read and read again what they need so you can understand completelly the prerequisites for success. On the other hand ,each country has it's own system of education ,licensing etc. so you need to improvise a litle bit.Personaly ,I made a list of documents explaining what each document represented.I also took pics of my self while working ,I printed them on A4 and acompanied it also with a list explaining what each pic was showing. So ,I believe I left no margin in false claiming of my occupation.Generally speaking the more for the TRA (since they love detail ) the better. Still ,first time I initially submited my application ,I made a childish mistake wich led to have my whole application returned to me by snail-mail.
