  1. Hi, Is a British HNC in Social Care recognised in South Australia?
  2. thanks thats another thing I can tick off my panic list
  3. Hi , This prob be a stupid question but flying out nxt month n suddenly panicked in middle of night. We have our 190 visas granted, we only have the grant letters which I printed off, should we have anything else to show we have or visas before we fly out?
  4. Hi trabonita, if you go onto real-estate au , DONT click pet friendly because it will only bring up a few houses. just keep it as normal then scroll down and read the house descriptions as it will tell u if pets r allowed or negotiable . I panicked to begin with then found more houses available doing it this way. hope this helps.
  5. I would like to know what peoples oppions are on this as my shipping list is getting smaller and smaller. We wer going to buy new toasrer kettle bedding towels duvets etc here but thinking the cost of shipping them would prob even out if more expensive in oz
  6. Hi , we did online application for vetassess then you need to send off documents there is a document checklist on the vetassess website. Whether you have agent or not u still need to get the info together yourself which is the hardest bit. Once its been rcieved from vetassess we got to choose between a skpye intrrview or a practical test my husband did the verbal as that was the first date available once he got results from that(2wks) he got a certificate for AQFIII in carpentry and joinery. I am sure that each trade is different as some have to just do practical. It took a total of 3 months to get skills assessment most of that was waiting for vetassess to recieve docs in post. I hope this helps as it seems that long ago now Ask away if u have any other quiries cos about to make a folder of the process for my sister inlaw so she can join us in a year or so
  7. We started process nov 2012 . We also had to go through vetassess most construction and trades need to. My husband was self employed so took a while getting info on all of his previous work. He then had to sit the IELTS test to gain more points and it took him 3 attempts so wasted a lot of time then state nomination which took 3 months and finally submitting visa. long process but well worth it and if your doing it through an agent it should be pretty straight forward . We wasted alot of time through making silly mistakes. But hey ho oz here we come .
  8. The CO asked for form 80 for my husband and myself, and some extra proof of paid employment. Once I submitted extra info it was 2 weeks after we got the grant.

  11. Hi does anyone know if there is any point checking visa status over the festive or does it close down for 2 wks?
  12. Thanks guys u have made my day . We have tax returns for previous years and p60's for current years so this makes it so much easier woohoo
  13. Ok were maybe being very stupid or this is just the way it is. Were applying for 190 visa on last stages bit didnt realise had to provide all pay slips from all years were claiming. We have them all but bn paid wkly for past 5yrs out of 20 yrs work so have payslips for each wk. Question is - is there anyway of attaching them in one go or do we have to do ot individually? We have tried word doc with 28 slips in one file but too big too send. I have no clues about comps and will do them individually if nd be but any help will happily b appreciated thanks
  14. Thanks nancy and paul we are Sooo relieved, he was getting so frustrated. I put this post on because I have read so many things about people not gettin a positive appeal which nearly put us off appealing and he was just gony resit test, so hopefully we can give people some hope and confidence in appealing but they say only appeal writing and speaking as listening and reading have actual answers so would rarely be wrongly marked so dont waste your money.
  15. Woooooohoooooo got a positive ielts appeal today. My husband got 6.5 on his writing and needed 7 and he got it soooooo glad as this was his third time taking test and had started to take excitement out of process but thats us back on track and very excited to move onto applying for visa yeay
