  1. Hi, I just used Anglo Pacific, they were not cheap but then i didn't shop around. They came and packed our stuff and arranged the insurance for all the bits. So far service has been good, but our bits don't go onto a ship until the 18th of June and reach Perth port on the 22nd of July. Looks like we will be in Perth before our bits get delivered to us. Does anyone know how long things usually take to get through Customs?
  2. Our flights are booked for the 24th of July We went out to Perth already in Dec 12 to activate our visa's - stayed with friends and just wondered around to get a feel for the place. Have also registered with a few agencies for work - so hopefully won't be waiting round too long before i pick up a job. The Misses is finding it a bit more difficult as she is a Pharmacists and has even more forms to fill in to get paid work experience bofore they sign her off etc... We have booked our removal agency for the end of May - as all our bits can get shipped earlier because we are staying with friends until we settle and are able to get a rental etc... Also just applied for our personally imported vehicle permit to ship the car across. Thing's are falling into place, the biggest test will be when we get our there. We're not selling our place either, but theres so much to do before i can rent it out.

This may sound stupid, but have you tried using washing up liquid with a bit of water outside - usually kills and gets rid of them straight away. well it works here in the UK.

  6. Ok, Quick update. Called my Agent this morning explaining the situation - she sent across a 1023 form to fill in and said write a brief description on the reason for not stating the convictions. Police checks and 1023 forms have been sent in, just awaiting response. Fingers crossed.
  7. Hi guys, Thanks for the responses. Will definitely write an email explaining when I send the certificates off. Don't know where I got 11 years from, was just stuck in my head, I know better now. Fingers crossed, will keep you posted.
  8. Hi guys, The wife and I applied for 175 visa. Application is in her name and I'm on there as her spouse. Everything was going well until today, received my police checks and 2 criminal records came up, drink driving in 2001 & conviction for section 3 ( threatening and abusive behaviour. I was under the impression that these are removed from your records after 11 years. So I did not state them on my application form. How bad is this for me? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm very scared that our application will get rejected Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Woo Hoo, we have a CO allocated to our application as of the 1st of Sept 12. We logged the application on 29th July
  10. We lodged on the same day, hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer

  12. Hi All, New to this Forum, so hello and thanks in advance  So the wife and I have just submitted our General Skilled Visa application form (well on 29th of June) before the rules changed etc... Application is under her name as she is qualified. Was wondering how long does it usually take them to look at our application and process it? Was hoping we can move out to Perth Next year July but worried we wont have our visa's by then. Any input would be grateful.
