  2. Hi, my husbands medicals were referred on the 7th of sep, and we still haven't had any updates. We were told that the time frame is 8 weeks we are now on week 13. I'm getting really worried we have stupidly booked a trip to oz in February to validate our visas and I'm really worried we won't get it on time now. We have contacted our agent, who contacted our case officer, who then is contacting global health who we are still waiting to hear back from and that's almost a week now. Frustrated isn't the word x
  3. We are planning for feb 2015, Seems ages away but I hope it will fly in. We need to save some money first so we can buy a nice home and pay off our debt. Do you guys have jobs out there already? It seems very daunting leaving a well-paid job here to go into the unknown, iykwim? x
  4. Me my hubby and my baby boy are coming out to Brisbane at the end of Feb to validate our visas and do some research on suburbs to live etc. I'm hoping some of you can help us out by recommending areas to visit/avoid. Here is a bit about us. We are both in our late 20's and are non drinkers. We are very family orientated so would like to live somewhere that is catered more for families and must have good schools. We dont mind not being in the city but close enough to be able to commute. Being close to a beach would be ideal. Not to much to ask eh?! lol. Also can anyone recommend a good site to look for holiday accommodation as we are hoping to get something booked soon. Thanks everyone Angela x
  5. Hi Nicky Me my husband and my son, who will be a year and a half are planning our trip to brisbane to validate our visas at the end of feb. We would love to meet up with you once we are out there and see how your settling in and possibly pick your brains for any tips. Our trip is mostly a research trip to have a look at suburbs etc. Good luck with your move and all the planning. I'm sure everything will go to plan. Love Angela
  6. What a fantastic thread! We have just lodged our application and are thinking about moving toBrisbane from Glasgow. Do you have anytips you could pass on? x
  7. Hi My hubby is an IT professional and I work in hospitalpharmacy so probably close to a city would be good. You have a SS for WA? Whatdoes that mean? Are you thinking about living in Perth permanently? Why have you picked Perth? I haven't been before but my hubby has, but that was years ago.

Hi Everyone Excited. We just submitted our skilled visa applicationtoday. My husband and I along with our baby boy were thinking about moving outin the next three years (after we save more cash) but not sure which area to go to . We are planning to go out next year at somepoint for a holiday/research trip and to validate our visas. I have never been to Australia before but my husband has andwe are thinking we would like to live in the gold coast area. Would love to move to Sydney but the cost ofliving there is just too expensive for us. I have friends in Melbourne but I’m not too keen on the climate. We would like the area that we live in to provide us with is agood school, an outdoor life style, not too far from the beach, and safe. Not too much to ask for eh?! lol Any help tips you could give me would be great. x
