Hi Bob, Thankyou for your reply, and yes it's Buster with the sore paws, he's doing good, getting on a bit now, he will be 12 next month which is a worry with the flight, but I'm sure he will be fine, I know how good petair are with making buster as comfortable as possible beforehand. I just wanted to clarify something with you, if I were to get the blood test done now when is the latest buster can fly? Or does he have to fly exactly 180 days after, I was thinking of getting it done now but possibly might not fly until nov/dec is that possible? Kind regards Rebecca

Hi bob, I'm hoping you might be-able to advise me ( again ) Im not sure if you remember but my furbaby BUSTER flew to Australia in November 2012, we then moved back to the uk in July 2013, buster had a rabies vaccination (inactivated) and his parvo, distemper,parainfluenza,bordetella vaccination on 31/05/13 we have now decided to move back to Australia, can you tell me what I need to do? That's great guys, thanks for the info, the reason I asked is my hubby is returning to Australia and he works on the pipelines, my son (17) has decided he would like to join him starting of labouring and doing some distance learning, the only problem was, my hubby said he did not think there was anyone on his site under 18yrs.

Hi Can anyone tell me the Tax implications if I return to Australia on my second 457 visa, I have only just had my 1st 457 visa cancelled 2 weeks ago so we could claim our superannuation and lodge an early tax return which is being processed right now ( we had no intentions of coming back to Australia) but now my husbands ex boss in australa really wants him back and has made him an offer we can't refuse, but we now have to apply for another 457 visa, I have been told we can do this, but I read on here somewhere that their will be tax implications, I'm just wondering if anyone has been through this? Or would it be wise to try and stop the process of our early tax return? Any advise greatly appreciated

Can someone tell me if bad credit in Australia is the same as the uk? Even if you cleared your debt, does it still go against you for 6 years before your name is cleared?

Hi Thanks for your reply, I don't want to leave Maidstone, as much as I loved living in Australia the pull back home was just to strong, and since I've returned I have been so much happier, me and my children returned in July last year, my hubby decided to finish the project he was on, so he returned later (October) but since being back, he has struggled to find work with a descent wage, and has better job opportunities in Australia, the thing I'm not sure about is, we have just done our early tax return which is being processed and we have just applied for our superannuation, I'm not sure if I need to try and stop this or even if I can, if not what will the consequences be when he returns to Australia, and as our visas are now cancelled, will he need to apply for a new TFN? Again any advice much appreciated *I may have just made that up.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone on here has worked in Australia on a 457 visa, then returned back to the uk and cancelled the 457 visa only to be offered another job in Australia, and had to apply for another 457 visa? My hubby returned home from Australia in October 2013 and we cancelled our own 457 visa so we could process our tax return and apply for our superannuation, our visa was cancelled last week on the 6th jan, but now my hubby has been contacted about another job in Australia which would mean another 457 visa but I'm not sure if this is possible to do or if we have to leave it a certain amount of time before applying again? Any info would be greatly appreciated

hi everyone, Im hoping someone can advise me, this morning I had an incident coming out of Coles car park, there was a lady behind me waiting for me to pull out onto the main road, as I was not going quick enough for her she decided to start pushing on the horn and making hand gestures to hurry me up, so I went to pull out but a car came out of no where and I slammed on the breaks, she was not looking forward and decided to put her foot down resulting in my car being totally smashed up, when confronting her she could not find her insurance details but said as soon as she gets home she will get her boyfriend to phone me with the details, but I then phoned the police whilst she was still there and reported it and they took her reg and details, I phoned my insurance and was advised to take my car to the repair shop where they immediately took my car as it was a danger to drive and had exhaust fumes coming up through the boot, they said it might be a write of, the car is only 10 months old, anyway the lady who hit my car has just phoned me and said she is not insured and has been speaking to her lawyer who advises her to tell me there's nothing I can do, and that she will admit to full responsibility so I don't have to pay any excess, I said I was going back to the police and apparently her lawyer said there's nothing the police can do. is this correct what she is saying? She told me she has not been in the country long, which makes me think how can she afford a lawyer but not any car insurance.

Hi Has anyone taken their dog back to the uk, heathrow airport in particular? I'm flying back with qantas and my dog is on the same flight, we land at heathrow at 06:35 but I've been told I can not collect him until 09:00 onwards, and that I need to go to the animal handling centre, I land at terminal 3 and wondered is the animal handling centre in terminal 3? And will there be anywhere for me to wait for the 2 hours prior to getting him as il be with my 3 tired children and I need to let the taxi company know roughly what time to get us and where from. Hi My daughter will be taking her driving test in September here in Queensland, we are moving back to the uk in October, providing she passes her test here, will she just swap her Australian licence for a uk license when we get home? She has not driven in the uk and her instructor seems to think she will have to sit her test again in the uk?

Hi, me again, Im hoping someone might help me, I have been contacting the universities in the uk to find out what OP score my daughter would need to do a bachelor degree in film and television, so far only 1 uni has got back to me (university of Essex) which is close to where I used to live, but they don't have the OP scores for 2014 yet, when I asked if they old give me 2012-2013 needed score she said she was unable to do this as scores change, so I'm hoping someone on here might have the answer. Also as my daughter will be completing year 12 in November, if she wanted to could she return to her 2nd year in sixth form in the uk or would that be a deffinate no no. Thanks for reading

Hi, I'm in rose bank gardens, I live on riverdale drive, we moved here last November, there's me (becky) my hubby (David) and we have 3 children, Alecia who is 17, Callum who is 15 & Olivia who is 11. we all love it here, like yourself we pushed the boat out with the rental price just to settle us in as we had never been to Australia before so knew nothing about areas, also the fact that my hubby works away for 28 days at a time so I felt more safe to be in a gated community. it would be really nice to meet up for a coffee with you all, I've not made any friends since I've been here, I think it's not because I have not wanted to but just been so preoccupied with the children and learning lots of new things here that I've not really put myself out there, I find it hard as my hubby works away so meeting new people but having to do it on my own I find very daunting, anyway, I've decided I need to start making friends and what better than to make friends on my doorstep and offer any advice that I can.

Hi, yes he is a resident for tax purposes, I'm also trying really hard not to spend it before I've got it and trying hard to not get my hopes up of even getting a return, but it sure would help a lot especially as my daughter is of to uni in February and is classed as an international student, that's $68000 so anything would be great right now. ​thanks for your replies.

Hi all, Im hoping for some tax return advice, now I know I need to get an accountant and I will be doing that in July when the return is due, my question is will we defiantly get a tax return on our first one? I've read all sorts of things on here and I'm either getting a bit over excited lol, or I'm reading it wrong, I've just been on the ATO calculator and put my hubby's details in so the taxable income is 115000 my hubby started earning in September 2012 and when we do our return it we would have been earning for 10 months it says we only have to pay $30000 for the tax year, but we have already paid $37461, so am I right in thinking I will get refunded the difference which in June is going to work out about $9000? This really don't seem right to me so was just wondering if anyone else had an idea, oh we are on a 457 visa, I'm not sure if that makes any difference at all? This is where someone is going to come along and burst my bubble now islnt it lol
