Hi, my Aus partner has decided to give Scotland a go for me. He is an electrician by trade- can anyone advise us what he has to do to qualify to work in Scotland and how long this will take? We have 3 kids and he is our sole income earner at the moment so we need him to be able to work ASAP. he has other qualifications as backup though. We are looking at moving to Perthshire. thanks!!

Hi there, myelf (Scottish, but living in Aus for 10yrs), my partner (aus) and our 3 kids (who have british passports) are moving back to Scotland this year, as I miss it like hell. My partner is an electrician here in NSW- would he be able to get work on the north sea rigs and what would he have to do to transfer his skills? Any info greatly appreciated

<p><p>Hi there! I just read one of your posts about moving back to the uk- we are in the process of moving back with our kids, daughter 9 and sons 7 and 4. We are applying for my Australian husbands visa through a uk migration agent who has advised we try and get him a spouse visa so we can alltravel over together and then he can start work straight away.</p></p>
<p><p> This means we are paying more for the visa but we dont want the kids and i tot travel alone if we can help it. so now we are in the awful part of getting all our documents sent in and then the waiting.</p></p>
<p><p>I was wondering if you have any advice for us that can help us be organised properly?</p></p>
