Hello. I'm a CP in the UK, and my husband and I have been granted visas. I think he replied to you in another thread? I had questions re: AHPRA registration and endorsement, and hoped to benefit from your experience please.... but understand if you'd prefer to forget about it!

- if you applied from the UK, how did you gain the necessary identity documents (they only seem to accept Australian ones - I was wondering whether to apply for an international drivers licence to solve this issue)?

- who certified your documents (e.g. JP)? There aren't many people that they accept certification from outside of Australia.

- I can provide supervision hours with whom, and in what jobs, CPD etc, and provide letters from supervisors post qualification. However an email from AHPRA also suggested that I get supervisor CVs, and details of DClinPsy course content. This isn't on the official guidelines - did you include this?

Many thanks for any help. This looks harder than getting the visa!

 2. Hi I am currently in Melbourne on a 190 which was granted in December (2012). The Victoria website has a table where it tells you how much you need to have depending on how many dependants etc. Your funds can be in savings and posessions, eg jewellery, house. car, TVs etc! You put a figure on the form that obvioulsy needs to be in line with their recommendation. We were never asked to prove our money nor provide bank statements or anything like that and from what I heard at the time nobody else got asked to prove it for a 190. Don't forget the figure they give is on dollars! Hope this helps
 3. Hi My family and I moved to Melbourne on the 1st of feb so are newbies but going through the whole set up process right now! I'll write a longer post tomorrow as its quite late here now! A lot of your estimates seem ok but car rental has cost us 700+ with full insurance for 2 weeks. We got a great priced short term let for $114 a night which is cheap. Been happy here. We sorted our long term rental in aspendale which is bayside next along from parkdale. We got that within a week but its not ready until 25th. We had to push for that date too as its when we move out of here. We have been buying furniture and its quite pricey but probably similar to uk. I'll pm you more of the financial details if u like? I'm happy to give you my number if you want to chat about it as may be easier to ask all your questions that way?!we have been round lots of Melbourne and loved the feel of the bayside suburbs like mordialloc, parkdale, aspendale. We're in bayswater now and Vermont and wheelers hill near here are nice but commute is harder to CBD. pm me if you want to chat?! I have moved with my 2 girls 6 and 3 so have sorted school and childcare too! zoe

Takes a while to sink in, enjoy we'vebooked our flights for 30th jan is super quick! enjoy celebrating.
 9. Don't despair! I got my case officer one day and the visa the next, so they must do some processing before we hear about the case officer. Is also heard about someone getting their grant without ever hearing from the case officer good luck
 10. Hi Rosie i had a deadline for a report so had been working until 4am and saw the visa email come through about 3.30am! I then couldn't sleep and was having to get up at 7am! I left my job at the end of September and took the gamble we would get the visa. I've been doing some self employed bits of work since then, good job we got it! I've stopped taking on the self employed bits now and will try to get us organised for Jan. we're gonna look flights tonight, can't believe it. Hope you hear really soon, fingers crossed!
 11. Woo hoo!!! i was just checking on here to see if more had been granted today, well done! I don't think it has sunk in for me since thurs yet although I did drink the champagne I'd been keeping to celebrate!! well done, zoe
 12. Hi Ros we are moving to Melbourne jan 2013 too with our girls who are also 6 and 3!! Did you get your accommodation sorted? Whereabouts in the uk are unmoving from? zoe
 13. Hi colour scanned copies are fine but black and white ones need to be certified. All of ours were scanned in colour and we didn't have anything certified or notarised. Our visa was granted fine.hope that helps zoe
 14. Hi jbb  Sorry you didn't hear today. It's rubbish on a Friday isn't it when u have to wait again till Monday. i am planning to go to Melbourne, hopefully in January with my husband and 2 girls 6 and 3(by then). I feel like there must be so much to organise but can't think what it all is yet so need to start a list! No the case officer didn't do any verification. I attached a letter from a manager in work, not HR as some people have said causes a problem but it didnt't for me. I also attached a p60 or end of tax year payslip for every year of my 10 years employment and some invoices from my recent self employment. No checks. where are you heading? Good luck
