Other suggestions are like to fill the gap, make some dummy experience (which i will never recomend). Otherwise u people have to wait until her 12 months period justified out of 24 months.... Secondly Yes your current Assessment will works for the policy changed after 1st July ..... Actually i don't know exactly what type of VISA you are going to apply like its 175,176 or 475? For further after 1st July 2012 New policy have the same point system but there is addition of a layer in the process that is called EOI (Expression of Interest) After 1st July the steps will be as follow 1) You need to Assess your experience Educational documents 2) You need to Do IELTS 3) You Lodge your application to EOI (EOI is a computerized system it will rank you according to your points and occupation ceiling, and send you an invitation to lodge application to DIAC. The invitation will be valid for 60 days after issuance). 4) Finally, after getting invitation from EOI, you will be able to lodge your application to DIAC. Conclusion: either its new rules or old rules you will have to assess yourself before logding your application to DIAC or EOI..... and yes skill assessment process will be same, but validation of your assessment is now extended upto 24 months. Dear Bharat, I think she has to show 12 months out of last 24 month as an employed in the respective category. But u may visit your consultant to avoid any fuss.... i think it may be an obligation from DIAC ..... ACS will simply calculate the number of experience for the respective periods..... Yes there would be a catch either she resigned from that company for maternity reasons? or she had applied for Unpaid Leaves? If she had on Unpaid leaves for that period, Of Course there is a ray of hope for u people .... Regards, Shoaib Anwar

Dear BKumar, First of all it is right place to put your queries 1) If you want to claim 5 Points of Spouse, in that case you need to do IELTS plus your Skills Assessment etc. If not then no need to do IELTS at the right moment. 2) Just check from http://www.acs.org.au/public/ska/doc...RGJuly2011.pdf[url=http://www.acs.org.au/public/ska/doc...RGJuly2011.pdfwhich][/url] , which Job Descriptions are more closer to her work experience. She may qualify for software engineer, analyst programmer, developer programmer depends on her employer what sort of experience Letter they are giving her. In my personal point of view Languages like C#, C++, Java, .NET technologies ACS don't bother about technology u are working. ACS is more concerened about Job Descriptions, Technologies varies time to time. 3) First Apply Online Application on ACS website. And Mail her physical attested copies of documents through DHL, FEDEX to ACS. DHL, FEDEX have online tracking system for your courier. Finally, if you want to file your case to DIAC before 30 June, you are really on the edge. Just want to know how much SkillSelect will effect 190 (176) category? What i have Understand from SkillSelect that scoring will only be made against 189 (175). And it Of Course pintch the applicant having threshold of 65 Point (Specially IT Professionals)..... For 190 (176) State will nominate and invite you from SkillSelect Database.... i don't think 190 (176) applicant after 1st July 2012, are in the scoring race ..... Am i right? Need your comments.
