  1. afaik there was no enquiry done ..but I have not heard from the people who gave me reference letters if they got a call..
  2. so finally the day arrived , got the grant today....thanks all for your kind responses that helped me navigate through this process..I felt once the CO was assigned the process was very smooth and the delay was only because the unavailability of my passport which was with UK BA..
  3. so finally I have got all the PCC's required..and all documents.. a silly question and I feel the answer is yes, but is the Form 80 a must for getting the visa grant?
  4. hope its going great for the Feb gang and most of you guys have got your grants..my passport was stuck with UK BA for 3 months , have finished the medicals and applied for the Indian PCC so waiting for those to proceed..the CO has been kind enough to provide an extension too.. one question though , we completed the medicals on 23rd April, but still when I login to the online application it shows as requested , at Bridgewater they said they would post the results to DIAC within a week...am I checking at the wrong place?? please can some one throw some light..
  5. Thanks Kurvyy.. my mail being so flooded by spam mails I had missed the email from the CO ..I got the CO assigned on 19th Mar,2013 with request for PCC and meds.. however I can't get those now because my passport is with UK BA gone for UK work permit extension am expecting them back this week..so post that should get going with additional documents.. I have another question though..I complete one year in the U.K. on April 11th , would I require the PCC from UK or is the date on which I file my application considered for the 1 year stay in a particular country?
  6. How do we find which center is processing your application? Thanks in advance
  7. I have applied on 29th Jan ,2013..but not got a CO assigned yet..not sure..what is the criteria for CO allocated? Has anyone tried to call the immigration office and got a good response on when we can expect the Co to be allocated? I see it as 10 weeks but also see on this thread that it has been assigned earlier than that for few of us..
  8. Thanks Mem...it helps in easing my nerves a little, particularly because these days its difficult to say how long it will take to get the passport back once it goes for work permit extension..
  9. thanks I just had one additional question : I am currently in U.K.. I have to get an Indian PCC too ,which I can get it from the Indian High commision , but they require my passport for this , and I cannot submit my passport now since I need to submit it for my UK visa extension . I feel there could be a delay in getting it back stamped..so in case I am not able to submit the Indian PCC within 28 days ..will there be a problem , or will I can get an extension for this specific scenario if I request my Case Officer?

  11. Thanks for the response..will apply for one..though I checked on the FBI page and it said 5-6 weeks..( not sure what is the real turnaround time though)
  12. thanks for the response. do we need to get the PCC only once the CO is assigned after submitting the application?
  13. I got the invitation to apply for the visa through skill select. I have lived in U.S. for more than 1 year but never continuously for more than 9 months. Do I still need to get the criminal record check from FBI?
