  8. Hi I applied for a SS from WA and got an email on the 12th Aug to say one of my EOI answers didnt tally up with the SS....I misinterpreted the question :-( Anyway they asked me to correct my EOI and resubmit which I did that day (was so annoyed at myself!!) I havent heard anything since and every night I go to bed, lay there half asleep waiting for my email to 'ping' but nothing yet!! What kind of timelines have others got? Has anyone else been asked to change EOI? Thanks Very nervous Debbie
  9. Hi kooky! We've got 2 little girls one 5 year old and a 2 year old so that's why we're starting the process now too before they're settled in school etc We're both 37 and my hubby co- owns a property development company so he's hoping to try and continue that in oz. I have been teaching for 15 years and have been in both state and private schools. At the moment I teach year 3 in a private school. We have applied for western Australia state sponsorship and haven't heard anything as yet... Very nerve wracking!! Will update any news as it comes!! Debbie Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

  12. Thanks Rupert I had realised that this was the tip off the iceberg! What is the average wait for the SS? Is the actual visa application similar as in online? I really appreciate any advice as we see used not to get a migration agent... We were going to go with ASA and I think they've just gone into liquidation so that was a blessing really. 18. Hi I'm hoping someone can help. I started to complete out visa application for WA last night and stopped halfway through as it was late!! I just realised my oldest daughter's passport ran out last month, I know I have 28 days to complete former. Will her passport be a problem???? I can send if off but at this time of year they can take a while :-( Just keep panicking... Please help! Debbie Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Hi everyone I'm about to start completing the visa application and wonder whether to transfer our lump sum of funds from my husbands bank account to our joint account? Also when is the payment processes just so we can prepare! Debbie Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Hi Carmel my understanding is that you cant really do the EOI until youve done the IELTS and skills assessment (for the 190) and then you fill in the EOI then it gives you options of visas you qualify for from the ones you selected in the EOI. Then you are contacted via the skillselect website. I am really worried about doing the actual visa application now!!!
  21. Hi Carmel! Im a primary school teacher and currently teach in the private sector. I have done the IELTS and got my AITSL certificate through which took ages as I never received an email from them asking for another document!! Anyway its nice to know someone else is going through the same as me!! I hate filling in forms, as a teacher I often get asked to do passports for people and usually make a mess :-( We are going for WA as primary teacher was on their list, but we don't mind where really. My husband's cousin lives in Sydney and recently got citizenship, his parents are currently applying for their visa too. Take care Debbie
  22. Well last night i got an email saying that WA would like to invite me to apply for the visa....im a bit scared now:huh:!! Just wondered if any was in the same position and we could share the experience? I have a couple of questions if anyone could help... To show we have enough funds to live for 3 months does it have to be in a bank account in my name or can it be in my husbands account? We have funds from a recent car sale but they're in his account....at least they should be!!! Also can i start doing the application and come back to it or does it have to be done in one sitting? Also is the WA test tricky? I know I have to get 60% and have looked at the info page all about living in WA, are the questions multiple choice? It also said if required have details of 3 potential job opportunities in the region...does that just mean some jobs that are currently being advertised to show there is demand? Any support would be great.. I'm feeling the pressure doing it on my own :err:!! Also I wanted to add my timeline to show people but not sure how to add it!! Thanks Debbie
  23. Thanks for the info :-) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Just had 'initial contact' email today Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  25. I am wondering whether I should have just applied for the 190 rather than listing all possible visas... 186/187/489 It already says 'apply for visa' for the 186/187 but I understand that those are employer sponsored. When I filled in the EOI I just wanted to be as flexible as possible!! Will it limit our chances of being invited? Should I go I and change it or will that further delay the whole process? Any advice would be great!! Debbie Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
