im from Doncaster, I moved back from oz last October and I can honestly say its the worst move I've made... I couldn't wait to get back to England coz I missed it so much (I know there will be people reading this thinking wtf) but its a an absolute mess, I've been to some beautiful areas for a look since coming back (but they are all quaint little villages with money) and also been to London BUT then you come back to the north and its a total mess....I've been looking for work last October and I might be in a chance finally of becoming a porter.... We have gone from 150,000 a year living in oz to £4,200 year living on job seekers allowance what the hell have we done.... And it's all down to thatcher making this beautiful country such a devastation she has destroyed community's and Doncaster is the biggest **** hole I've ever lived in, yes I'm from Doncaster and I've lived here for 30 years but this place is totally destroyed through thatcher, this town used to boom now it's full of smack heads, unemployment and homeless I hope she rots in hell...

Yes it was.. It's absolutely beautiful ... I love England soooooo much especially these parts, yeah I had all that crap of people before we came home, I just laugh and smile. Because deep down we all know England is the best country in the world x

Just going to Whitby for the weekend to stay in a cottage .. And off for a ghost walk around robin hoods bay tonight .. Can't wait, I'm so glad to be home

We had to knock 35,000 au dollars of ours for it to sell...so we could return to the uk!

Yeah hi there... We lived there for 5 years, and yes we went for a 6 week holiday about a year before we Emmigrated

Yeah it's great...but I've truly relished the cold weather since being back. theres no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing:)

I've been back nearly 3 months now and I'm so happy to be here. I wake up every morning appreciating everything around me, I have just been to my mum and dads ( who live around the corner) and all the sun and sand in the world can't let you hug your mum like I have just done, I've learnt an awful lot about being in oz, and the biggest thing I've learnt is that I would never leave my parents again..there's nothing in this world that is more important than having your family around you and being able to see my mum and dad everyday is like a dream...

35 just... Feel like 85 after doing a 5 years in oz!!!

Hi there... Just on our way home from grassington dickens market, what a wonderful day, hot chestnuts, hot choc with marshmallows and cream, children singing, carol singing, brass bands... I feel like I'm in heaven. It's been very cold but amazing we had firs on each corner to keep warm ... God I love Christmas in England : )

Go for it.... Don't bother with a holiday, England is so beautiful ... If you decide to come home, Wecome home! Good luck

It's cold it's dark ... The smell of smoke, jacket potatoes are in in the oven, I've just made home made toffee, god I love being home... Happy bonfire night everyone!

Well a week today we got home... And I'm very pleased to say its the best decision I've ever made... It's great. We did a shop at asda OMG... I still feels like I'm in heaven I cannot believe how cheap everything is, and also the choice of food, it's amazing!

Lol never.. Airport is really nice and clean very cheap for fagz in the duty free too. It's just Dubai lil baby :biggrin:

Quick update.. Still on our way home, we are in Abu dhabi waiting for our connecting fly, we had a 7 hour stay here, had a nice shower summat to eat and the plane is about to take off around 1:20 pm

Just been to buy a magazine, $8.95 au turned it around and it says 1.50 British pound ...

Thanks guys.. I've come early coz I'm so excited. I hope they let me on the flight, they might think I'm high or summat.... Lol

I can hardly contain my excitement,, I'm sat in melbourne airport waiting for our flight to London heathrow, we don't fly till 11:15pm but at least we are one step closer to dear old England, well a very long excited wait for me

Yeah, don't know why people think it doesn't happen here in utopia. Let me assure people it does, it's a good job my husband didn't get hold of one of them. But like I said they are just scum, drugged up hooligans, with nothing else better too do.
