Hi All, I hope some one can assist with a query i have around the 187 visa. With out going in to, too much detail my fiancee and i have applied for a 857 RSMS visa (onshore) and were declined by the DIAC for not having enough experiance to satisfy a diploma qualification. We applied to the MRT and are now waiting. We have discussed a number of ideas with a MA, however one suggestion is to apply for a new visa (187) as it is unlikly we would win the MRT case based on the original application and we now have enough experiance to satisfy the DIAC experiance criteria (within the next few months any how). Now these are my questions: 1) Do we need to apply offshore for this visa 1.1) If we apply offshore, are we able to re enter australia before a decision is made? (we are currently on BVA, this wont expire until the MRT call us to a tribunual) [*]2) How long are most people waiting, from lodgement to acceptance/rejection? If any one can assist with these questions it would be much appreciated. Kind regards

Thanks for this is it the issue date or lodgement date? i saw on another post that it was the lodgement date which raised my hopes.

Hi all, I have been with my employer for 10 months now and my application for the rsms 857 visa was lodged and sponsored by them 10 months ago, i am still waiting on approval from the DIAC. However the lodgment was rushed as there wasnt much time before my previous visa expired, so my visa was lodged without the supporting evidence which followed soon after. I wasnt working with my current employer (sponsor) when my applicatlion was lodged. My first question is when is my 2 year period compleated? The reason i ask this question is because i am not getting on with my employer and it is really affecting me when im not at work, this leads me to my second question. Is there any clause that will allow me to leave my employer early without effecting my visa/ PR? I feel that i have given alot to my company and they agree my work is excellent but the working environment e.g. other staff inc manager is very poor. its only a small office but apart of a larger national organisation so there isnt a way i can move office with out me and my partner moving to another state! We came to Australia to live in the one we are in now. Any help would be much appreciated as im feeling quite irritated about it and would like to know what my options are. Thanks in advance,

Hi All, I am just about to go into the RSMS process with an employer that wants to sponsor me. However i don't have a diploma my highest qualifications are GCSE's + 4.5 years experience in the industry. Will this experience be accountable to allow me to get sponsored on the RSMS? The 457 was my original choice as they will except relevent experiance how ever the job i have been offered doesnt meet the required wage for the 457 so the next option is the RSMS but i cannot see an "or equivilent experiance" for the RSMS. PLease help i dont have long left on my current 417. Thanks
