  3. Hi All, This might be my last post in the forum. I have been granted 189 visa 3 days ago. I received invitation on 15th October and submitted my application on 16th and finally VISA was granted on 6th November. Was surprised by the speed though. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one here on this forum who have helped me . I also like to wish best of luck for those who have applied VISA and waiting for grant letters. Cheers, Vinod.
  4. You don't have to wait. When you download these docs they will cocontain your registration no. I have done it this way recently, just give a call to medibank visa Medicals
  5. Hey I'm not sure on precise timelines but I have heard it definitely doesn't take 18 months. I heard that CO will get allocation in 8 weeks time. I too received invite for 189 on 14th Oct and lodged VISA today and got ack as well today. It all depends on how desperate your to get VISA. Some people who are already on work permits or bridging visas doesn't mind waiting and same is the case with me. Anyway good luck to you.
  6. Hey thanks. I have got mine as well on 15 Oct 2012.
  7. Hi Guys, Even i got an invitation last night with 70 points under software engineer category.
  8. Hi All, I am currently holding 70 points under 189 VISA. Did anyone got an invite with 70 points under software engineer category?

  10. Hey, Mine was rejected and has received an official reject letter, so point in checking any link. I wanted you guys to be aware of this so that you can have alternate plans just in case if it backfires.
  11. Hi Uma, I am sorry, i have to share some disappointing news with you:sad:. I have applied a week before you under software engineer category and was rejected 2 weeks back saying the cap for the year 2012-13 has been reached . Do not expect positive response if your applying for software engineer or application programmer. As you have not heard from them all I can say is good luck-
  12. Congratulations on your positive assessment. You need to score 7 in each module of IELTS test to claim 10 points.
  13. Thanks for your reply. My overall score is 7.5 and looking to push it over 8 in all bands. I am particularly interested in Writing and partially reading. I have already scored 8 in listening and Speaking so they should be alright. Meanwhile i have two and half weeks for next test. I know it is short and i wanted to give my best shot. Regards, Vinod.
  14. Hi , Hope everyone doing good. I need your help to get some tips on how to get Band 8 in GT. I did scored overall 7.5 in my previous attempt and wanted to know any material or tips that would help me in pushing myself beyond 8. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Vinod.
  15. Ya i guess you are correct. This actually gave me an indication of how many people are applying in SE category. Since I am already in OZ on 457 , I may drop out from applying from PR:unsure: Anyway good luck with your application. Whatever happens is for our good:cool:

  17. Hi All, My SS application to SA for software engineer has been rejected today saying ceilings have been reached. :embarrassed: I have no idea how could it breach the limit in the very first month of the year:confused: The status read as Reason for Refusal: Due to the large number of applications received for this occupation, the planning level for this Program Year - 2012/2013, has been met and hence this application is refused. The occupation is now listed as "Special Conditions Applies". Information on the "Special Conditions Apply" criteria can be viewed here: https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/node/176 The applicant does not meet the "Special Conditions Applies" criteria listed in Point 6 on the Immigration SA website -: https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/node/104 Also See Point 4.- Planning Levels. There is no re-visit on this application. As Immigration SA will not be nominating you through SkillSelect, you may wish to edit your Expression of Interest. Should you require migration advice, you may wish to use the services of a registered Migration Agent, who may be able to advise on alternative migration pathways.
  18. Not sure on timelines. I have applied on 17th July 2012 and my current status reads "mmigration SA is unable to provide an indication of processing times. Keep monitoring this page and your e-mail for the decision on your application."
  19. I gave it on 21/07. Please check for results online https://results.ielts.org/
  20. Hi , Hope everyone doing good. Today I have received my IELTS score and unfortunately I fell short of 0.5 in reading :dull: L - 8.0 R-6.5 W-7.0 S-8.0 I need 7 in all bands. I know it may not be a good idea to recheck on reading section but wanted to check if anyone ever successful challenging this particular module.
