  1. LOL

Me too but hey ho thats our lives atm. The DIAC are certainly keeping us on out toes. Have you seen the other thread Cat 5 to Cat 3? They are all swiftly getting CO's and are a few that are still waiting so I think we may have to wait a while for some good news.

our applications are only days apart too so its kinda exciting in that respect :jiggy:

Ha and than we can start to fill this topic with discussions on medicals and police checks :jimlad:

  2. What a quiet week for us :frown:

    yes

I'm actually getting rather p*ssed at myself, for getting all excited and frustrated and restless for nothing. We all know DIAC is unpredictable, and right now we all know it's going to take a few weeks before they start processing cat4 again, and in the end those few weeks won't make such a big difference. I still believe we will have our visa before Christmas, and we intend to move in May 2012. So what does it matter that we didn't get a call this week?

    still :arghh: :arghh: :arghh:

  3. .. know its the last thing and we should be set to go but I am worried if lost in the post - I will have to do AFP again ?!

Anyways good luck to all - hope Cat 4 is still moving .

That's just it, we're all doing our best to follow the rules as best as we can, but you don't control the mail, it's just horrible that there are so many things that can go wrong and you can do nothing about it.

And no, I don't think Cat4 is moving at the moment. It will, in a couple of weeks, I believe. But it's pretty slow at the moment.

  4. BTW

I was looking at the spreadsheet, and noticed that most applicants before feb2011 that have no CO yet, have already uploaded their medicals (probably after the 18 March email). This group may not be informed when they get a CO, but only when they get a grant. So they may have a CO already and not know it.

  5. It is exactly what i had expected this morning:yes: a slow down after a a week or 2 of fast pace, faster processing seems to be because DIAC know something is coming to slow us back down again

you know what? I actually think you are right

I'm very disappointed. I am happy for those from cat5 who have been waiting for years, but the unpredictability is horrible!

Well, let's look at it differently: two weeks ago I got very nervous knowing that we were going to receive a call from our agent within two weeks. Now I can sleep again. For a while. And I still think we will have a CO before Christmas, and have a visa sooner than most cat5s.

I wouldn't know what to do without this forum.

  6. Well it's gonna be a long wait now to see if the blood Martin provided today is gonna come back clear, not sure I can cope with to much more now. But Their again most of us was happy to sit on the shelf till 2013 so I should be greatful we are moving. can't bring myself to post an optimistic smiley :-( LOL need more sleep.

I completely understand it's tough, but you'll be alright. I know it may not feel like that, but you will, sure of it. In a year from now this is nothing more than a good story at the barbie.

  7. With a 176 you have to stay in one state for two years and provide evidence of that. And do you have to reapply for PR after those two years?

Maybe we need to wait, but the good news is, once we have 175, we're done and free.

    Trying to stay positive ;-)

  8. It might not happen:hug: were just being crazed manic depressives today:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Tomorrow is a new day :yellow_guy_smiling_:eek:

exactly. Last week we had seven COs? If I'm right this week we have one CO and three grants (edit: four grants!). Which is a good score right?

And tomorrow we should see a new update on the website. My guess is 15 Jan 2011. Based on a completely nonsensical reason: week 35 and 36 had a lot of COs, and DIAC moved nearly 3 months. This time we had a lot of COs in week 37, so that would move them up 1 and a half month. Which makes it 15 Jan.

  9. Lol yea we so are

Think we all got spoilt getting CO's last week & got our hopes up high

you're right! But we can be sure DIAC willl unspoil us very quickly :jiggy:

    - going to bed now. This day should end. Tomorrow is another day

  10. Waiting 3 years yes I do know also amount of changes that happen also the way we are moved from one cat to another as you can imagine some of these cat 5 will have been in a higher priority at one point and then find themselves on the bottom of the pile, I so know about the bad days and the good days but what we do know it will all be worth the wait it in the end.

I know. You are an example to us all....

  11. Let me know what you all think.

    Tania

Right now I'm thinking everything - and nothing! :arghh:

Diac going really fast - no wait, they slow down, going slow slow slow - wait, they are going really fast, could it be? could it be? yes yes they are going really fast - no, they are not, they are really slow, slow.:err:

And in the meantime we keep trying to get some reason behind it. They had more 176s than expected. There are cat5s upgraded to cat4. Or cat5s upgraded to cat3. They go first. Or maybe not. They want to clear backlog before major changes. Sounds plausible. Or they are cherry picking. Or maybe not. ICT professions are processed quicker. Probably not. They do the 18th March e-mail first. Or maybe not. They will do cat5 this financial year. Probably. Or not.

Sorry. Today is not my day. I'm sure you know the feeling!!!! probably even better than I do. I'll be more positive tomorrow. Or not

  13. Not sure how this will affect the outstanding Cat 4 applicants who haven't got a CO but it looks like Victoria released their SMP today and it looks like all the IT positions have been made available again...

mmm that's the third state this month with new skills on the list. Maybe that is why things seem to have slowed down this week?

I'm already looking forward to the next update the day after tomorrow

  14. NO This post is not saying that and sorry if it comes across that way. what it is saying is up to a bmi of 40 so long as you are otherwise fit their is no problem at all. :wubclub:

I'm happy to hear this! My BMI was 30 about 6 months ago, and I was under the impression that above 30 could mean that the medicals could be referred.

(Which means the diet wasn't necessary! reached BMI 27 last week. More or less. :arghh:)
