Can’t believe that we are permanent residents after 8 long years in Australia! it is a surreal moment for our family! Our time line is as follows:- ENS 186 ( labour agreement ) Nomination & Visa application: 4 Sept 2019 Medical check up:- 23 Sept 2019 Direct Grant:- 11 October 2019 I wish everyone who is waiting for your visa do hang in there!! Many thanks to our amazing migration lawyer too!!
  3. We recently applied for our 186 visa and this is shown on the immiaccount. The estimated waiting time says it between 5-8 months. I wonder why is it different from the time frame indicated on the website? May I know which is more reliable?
  4. Our MA filled on our behalf so I wasn’t sure what was submitted. However, we received our bridging visa (inactive ) and I wonder if we can apply for our interim Medicare card as well? Thank you for answering my question! Cheers
  5. Hello all, We just put in our application last week, we didn’t receive any notification of HAP ID for health check. May I know should we wait for IMMI to issue us or can we ask for it?
  6. Hi all, I have a question on VAC 1 and VAC2 payment. May I know how are these 2 payment being calculated? Is there a fix percentage and does it defers occupation to occupation? Thank you for answering!
  7. It’s best you consult an migration agent as the policy changes all the time.
  8. Hello there, May I know how do we add in details for June 2019 nomination/ application details? Only admin can do right?
  9. Hi Hex, Yes, our 457 grant was 30/5/2017. I did took paid leave and didn’t take any unpaid leave so that would mean the employer can and will launch the nomination anytime now. Thank you so much.
  10. Hi all, can I ask based on trt186 visa (grandfathering policy) , if my visa was approved in 30/5/2017, does it mean that employer can essentially start nomination process on 30/5/ 2019? Thank you in advance. Feeling nervous and excited all at the same time.
  11. Just wondering has anyone here been granted visa without the submission of form 80 or police clearance from your birth country? Besides AFP clearance and health check, I wonder what other checks do I have to prepare before visa application?
  12. Hi all, I have a question on applying for federal police (AFP) do we need to get our fingerprints and national police check or just a regular police check? Can someone share some thoughts ? Thanks.
  13. Hi there, Thank you for your response. We a family of 5 from LR country and are under labour agreement( rare but yes...) employed by the same employer for 2 over years and we are a little less hassle than TRT/DE, according to the immi website we just have to gather health checks, police checks ( Australia and overseas ) I just need to know if it’s a better idea to gather my documents before the lodging date As would the website expect us to submit all the documents at once? Thanks for responding.
  14. Hi everyone, I am new here. I am looking forward to our visa 186 submission next week. As we are applying without MA, may I know what preparation work should I do for now? I read on the immi website that they advise health checks and police checks to be done prior but I understand they have a 12 months window period. May I get some insights from anyone? Appreciate heaps.

  16. Hi there, Our 457 visa grant is for 3 years but we had a prior labour agreement with immigration backdated in 2016 which will eventually lead on to Permanent visa 186 therefore the new change of policy will not affect us. The occupation is minister of religion. Cheers.
  17. Hello all, Good news! We received our 457 on 9 May 2017. TimelineNomination and Visa Lodged: 15 Dec 2016Further information requested: 18 April 2017Documents submitted : 26 April 2017457 granted : 9 May 2017 - onshore application , low risk country, family of 5. I know it's been a long wait for some but we did not hear anything from IMMIGRATION department until the morning of 18 April when PM made that press release and we were at least glad the CO asked for extra document and responded positively to our application. Our visa was granted 2 weeks thereafter. And it's definitely a relief to our young family. Stay hopeful guys!
  18. 2 weeks is surprisingly quick! We just sent in our agreement a few days back. Hopefully it will be as smooth as yours. May I know which agreement are you under and are you applying onshore or offshore? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Congrats!! May I know how long does your labour agreement takes to clear? The website stated it takes around 3months but I hope it takes shorter than that... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hello there, are you still waiting for your visa or have you already planning to apply for labour agreement visa? My husband is in the midst of applying this visa and we feel the same way too that there isn't much help here on the forum.
  21. I am new here and I am on visa 485 now and holds a full time employment for a few months. I would like to ask my employer to nominate me for visa 186 ( direct stream ) may I know if there is a pre-requisite on the employer(HR) to prove to immigration department that they cannot find a suitable employee to fill my role before they can sponsor me in this process. Can someone cast some light to me in this area? Cheers!
