  9. Hi All Just found out about the points being raised to 65, so now we are short by 5. So only just started looking to see if i could claim some for being an ex bricklayer. I have not been on site for over 10 years but have 13 yrs experience. (been doing building maintenance for the past 12 yrs) just need an extra 5 points to add to the wife 60 points. So does anyone know if this is possible, I'm not going for a bricklaying job in oz so don't need a skills assessment just need to get the points if possible. Thanks for any help on this

  15. SUPERSTARDJ01 is it ok to pm you a question please?
  16. Thanks, that sounds like a plan
  17. Thanks for that link. Yes stage 2 is an assessment on the job in au. Got to do the lelts test, just trying to put a game plan together at the moment. We have contacted agents and i think that is what is putting us off, because some are saying we have little chance of even getting a EOI with our low points, but other are saying no problem, you might just have to wait a long time because we will be at the bottom of the pack which is not a problem. We are going to go for it, and just see what happens, the occupation celling is 1000 odd in favor and there are jobs on seek. This page with all your help has really helped so thanks too all. Did you use an agent or go solo?
  18. Sorry me again, can I ask if you done your skills assessment before submitting your EOI? or after. only asking because for OT there are two stages. Stage one is a desk top one in the UK and stage 2 is in Au. Don't know if yours is similar. I think I read that you do need to do it before but thought i would check. Cheers hope you all have a good week end.
  19. Cheers. That must be a good sign to see that every reg is up for OTs. On seek there are about 20+ OT jobs on the south coast.
  20. That's great, walk straight into a job, cant be bad. Its must take a bit of pressure of to know that.
  21. Did you know that because of the Gov state skills list, or just looked on seek jobs to see if they needed midwives?
  22. Thanks for your replies we really appreciate your help. It really is a rollercoaster one min you think your ok the next down you go.
