  1. Be honest; how many times a day are you checking you online status? For me I reckon it's 4 on average.

Ok I'm feeling so much better being surrounded by obcessive people!!.

My morning routine; Check emails, Check on line status (numbers all known off by heart), check PIO to make sure Nats hasn't beaten me to the finishing post!! Only joking Nats I'd be happy for anyone who gets their grant the waiting room is hell :frown:

  2. Hi Jambos, my employer was contacted approx 3 weeks ago and still nothing, as you probably know, we FL everything (Meds, PCCs, Form 80) and still no word from CO.. hopefully, it won't be too long for you!!

Crikey! My raging fire of hope is now a flicker! I was hoping it was the last peg in the hole. Oh well let all keep everything crossed for the next few days!!

  3. Hi All!

Just a quick update, our agent has finally recieved an email from our CO requesting meds :emoticon_doctor_sna and PCCs :policeman:!

We have been advised that we now have 28 days to get them done, after waiting what seems like "forever" for the email ,it now seems that 28 days is nothing and will soon be gone. Better get sorted then!

At last. maybe DIAC have just realised that they have left a few stragglers in June!!

  4. But do they check your points and documents before or after they ask for your meds and PCC's?

I ask because I read about someone who had everything changed to "Met" after being asked for their meds and PCC's. But then, after they underwent further checks, they were told that they didn't have enough points. So even after the meds were uploaded, they were still denied the visa.

Hi Sol2Oz - Do you have the link?

  5. I don't think COs look at anything until PCCs are uploaded and meds are examined by the medical team in Sydney and their status changed to "Met". It is more efficient to do this as a fail in either meds or PCC mean that the application is declared invalid and DIAC will not have wasted resources by examining the other documents in the application. As a future Australian taxpayer I have to hope such efficiencies are practiced.

As regards points, migration agents will always ensure certainty that the points required will be met by the applicant before starting the process. Individual applicants would also need to be equally certain of achieving the required points before applying.

We were specifically asked for childrens birth certificates as well as PCC and medicals so documents must be examined prior to these being uploaded otherwise the CO would not have known what to request????

  6. As of this morning, all meds are finalised for us too - including my referred ones.

I'm hoping the email about "4 weeks" is a maximum estimate - its the same time frame given to us to respond for our documents (28 days). Also, in fairness, Jambos was not told why/what paperwork was going to take 4 weeks, could be specific to their application/occupation/( Jambos - isn't yours family sponsored?)

But it's a nice long week ahead... We're getting there!

Hi Nats yes ours is a family sponsored all our meds are showing finalised now so we're neck and neck may we both win very soon

  7. Hi Breilly - Remind what is your latest status. Our meds have been finalised and we now have a potential wait of up to 4 weeks for 'Routine Processing' this is not to say there maybe another request / stage after this has been completed. Being optimistic!!! This is like taking teasing to a brand new level! This is now at 'torture class'.

  8. We have recived an email from our CO that says all applicants medicals are now finalised I am awaiting some routine processing that may take up to 4 weeks !! 4 MORE WEEKS in the waiting room you have to be kidding me. Has anyone else had this message. We are family sponsored .

  9. Turn us purple!!

email from CO this morning to say visa has been granted.wooooooooohoooooooooo

Very excited, now we can apply for jobs, book flights and we are off in September

    Today is a GOOD day

Thank you everyone who has helped and supported us

Congratulations celebrate well have a great day!!

  10. How did your OH get on contacting the medical centre Jambos?

My other half e-mailed the med centre and asked them to let him know when his profile was corrected. They did not e-mail him. But went into to our application this afternoon to find meds finalised. Just my daughter still showing referred now!!

  11. what does it mean when you say referred?

Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk 2

It means that the medical was not cleared due to a history of illness ( not serious in this case) so is referred to medical team.

  12. Back to our medicals! 3 of us have been finalised and still 1 referred. Has anyone else had experience of referred medicals?? Has anyone been asked to provide more info or more consultants letters etc.

  13. :arghh:

Being stuck on "Further medical results received" since 28th March I had a feeling something was not quite right. I contacted the medical centre for clarification yesterday and they said they would get back to me today. True to their word they did, I got an e-mail from the medical centre this morning stating that "There was a problem at DIAC's end regarding your EGN Number". The medical centre have now had to re-submit the results of the meds to DIAC. This situation may be unique to me or it may be a wider issue, I don't know. One thing is for sure, if I hadn't contacted the medical centre I may not have known about this situation for a long time. Looks like I'll be sweating it out in the Waiting Room for a few more weeks. Anyone in the same situation as me might want to contact their medical centre.

    :arghh:

Similar thing happened with us but it was only one of us so it was obvious that something was wrong. My OH had to chase up the clinic to ensure that his is uploaded. Going to happen today not holding my breath

  14. Hey Sadupops , Were nearly there! our house sale is going through atm and about to exchange contract on the house, as soon as this is done we are booking our flights a month from then, so very soon :jiggy: should be there by June i hope. Honestly im so excited...... i really can not wait.

Sounds fantastic can't wait to be in that position :daydreaming:

  15. Hi breilly, I was thinking about seeing a therapist.. LOL!!!! We're going slightly mad.. and it gets worse whenever family asks us what's going on with our application.. :biglaugh:

Perhaps we can have a group therapy session!! We've definately lost it!! Can't think straight can't stand people asking how our application is going :frown::arghh:

  16. And now... 5 minutes later...

The whole family have meds finalised, except for me. I was graded B due to being pregnant so mine have been referred. The doctor warned me it was a B grade and this might happen, but that this was just a formality.

So now just waiting (I assume for someone in Sydney? to check my meds?)

Nats I think you are now in the lead!!

  17. We can't believe our eyes. I've looked and re-looked... and its actually true!!

    a Direct Grant!

    Woohooooooo

Please Turn us Purple, Stephen. we saved you one post (CO allocation)

    Congratulations!!

  18. Our medicals show ''finalised'' on 29/02/12 and PCCs are not shown at all.. not sure if it's something that we need to worry about but I was told that untill CO verifies that everything is ok it will show as ''required'' but sometimes even when people get their visa some documents still show as ''required''.. I guess it depends from CO to CO..

    What do you guys think?

Our PCC have been done but are not shown so I think that is usual. My medical is showing as finalised but my husbands and daughters are showing as required. Everything else is showing as required on the second page as well. So I think it is an individual thing with co's.
