<p>Hi Reza, your status indicates that security checks are in progress? How did you know this? Does the CO tell you this? My cousin has been assigned a CO and all his documents have already been lodged but in the document checklist it still says REQUIRED against all documents. Can my cousin mail his CO request the CO to change the status to MET?</p>

<p>Hi, how long did it take to get your visa once all your documents were complete including medicals and police checks? I am asking because my cousin has been assigned a CO and he was asked to submit form 80. All his other documents have been submitted including medicals and police certificates. So now we are very anxious because all his documents are in order and his application is decision ready. He is exempt from work experience as he is a recent graduate from an Australian university. So, that means there won't be any lenghty checks on his employment history. Does this mean the rest of his checks will not take long since it is very standard documents that the CO has to check... police certificates, academic transcripts, skill assessment ... etc. Are we wrong in thinking this? Does the CO have to contact the police departments in different countries that my cousin has resided in as well to check the validity of the police clearances issued? This sort of check will delay the process.</p>

<p>Hi, I see that you have been assigned a case officer. According to your status, all your internal checks have been done. What are internal checks?... what about external checks? What are those? Are police checks external checks? I thought providing the police clearance was sufficient or do they ring up the police station to check the validity of the police certificates that have been issued?</p>
