We have been in Bulimba for best part of 2 years since emigrating and love it. Schools are good, it's central and in easy reach of most places you would want to get to in and around Brisbane, plenty of public transport. Parks are great, some with electric BBQs. 2 cinemas in the area. Westfield shopping centre at Carindale within 20 mins drive. We used to live off Apollo Road and flight noise in that area is loud loud loud but you get used to it. We now live 1km the other side of Oxford Street off Hawthorne Road and don't hear any planes. Houses are pricey to rent though. Apartments are not so bad. Good luck

We love Bulimba/Hawthorne/Balmoral ...... Great family areas.... Close to the City.... Expensive rent though
