  1. Yes I agree it's not the same, I am going back to Dublin for Christmas and New Year and the things that are happening that my Husbands family are planning is amazing, will let you all know how I feel when I get back although it won't be the same for me as I won't be with my parents and siblings xx

  2. Hi Nicola, you could get your current house valued and if you are looking for something new and find something you love you can put your offer in with the condition of you selling your other house, I know people have done that

There is also a Bridging Loan which you can use, not exactly sure on the details but if you look at google or the banks they will give you all the info

As for the equity in you current house if you have enough you may be able to use that as a deposit on a new one, but would you be looking at keeping the the old house as an investment or selling straight away?

    Good Luck x

  3. I know a few off my neighbours, but to be honest I could never just throw something in their bin without asking!! I mean I have asked a couple off times as they have which as been no problem at all , but at 11pm at night I guess you have a point about the time, did you tell the neighbour it was late at night and you didn't think they would mind or it was too late to ask, maybe just clear the air, if she is an older lady she may be set in her ways or just be pedantic as some people have said, but I wouldn't let it ruin being and having a good neighbour!! maybe try clear the air x

  4. Just to be clear when I made my original post I wasn't comparing to other Countries I have been here just short off 25 years and I stated fact in that 5 years ago things was alot cheaper my shopping, power bill, gas bill, council rates and water rates and so on were nearly half what they are now (not everything of course). It is the same in a lot of Countries I presume, add to that the fact my Children are getting older and everything costs alot more as they become bigger people and not little people anymore, I ddn't work 5 years ago and we managed just as good, I think the more you earn sometimes the harder it gets to be honest.

We like to Holiday I admit but we rarely eat out, we are more the type to BBQ at home and have a few drinks be it at our house or family/friends houses x

  5. I have no idea at all, but I wouldn't say it would be a problem, hopefully someone will be along soon to help, just want to wish you good luck and I hope all the tests come back with positive results, big hugs to you and please take care of yourself, the quicker you get here may help you relax even more and make you feel better xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  6. Yes I do well very close to the bush 100 metres or so, we have been in the same position as NSW but not on the same level of course, 71 houses lost and no lives lost (Thank God), but my parents and 3 friends lost their homes and for them to rebuild and move on was nothing we can understand, just be there and love and support, would any of them move, not in a million years, because the support from the community at large was unbelievable although we are classed at the worst areas in Perth (well close to it one of the worst), we were only in our home 3 months when the fire happened we were very lucky, but no one has any idea what it cost people to rebuild, as you can imagine most of the houses are on blocks that are low level or high level sothe cost of retaining came in at upto $100,000 at least for a lot of people because things have changed a lot since houses were built in the 70's and 80''s, which meant a lot of people were uninsured if that makes sense, the fires were caused by a silly accident and the man that made that accident has had a terrible time since, people have now made a civil action against him which my parent and friends want nothing to do with. That man has to live with his accident forever that is enough in our minds.

I hope and pray that the people of NSW will be okay and enough had insurance and the person who died RIP, but would I stay to save my home NO, my parents left and didn't realise as they walked out the front door the back roof of the house was already on Fire, I live 250 from my parents and before I had even left my home theirs was already gone!!!, We have only recently discovered which you usually don't appreciate when it's right in front of you, that we have at our doorstep what everyone drives to MR for except the beaches and wineries for, if people love where they live I don't know if this would change theirs minds, yes they maybe more cautious and make sure their land is clear from trees near the house xxx

  7. I agree about S & W mayo I bought about 6 jars a couple of months ago when they had it half price at coles, it is very nice, I love it with chips too.
