  1. Hi Ladycroft, are you waiting on a payment from Family Assistance or anything like that??

When I didn't work when my kids were toddlers I never had to do one, I just had to inform Family Assistance that I didn't have to lodge a tax return as I had no earnings and didn't work for that Financial Year.

Do you still have property in the UK at all earning Rent by any chance? that is classed as earning although you may not see of it in your pocket

  2. Sorry to hear that things are pretty bad for you DS. I didn't realise you were back in Perth

I can't help with the Uni Fees, maybe that is something you can look at later

just a few ideas for jobs if you think you can manage them

There are lots of Car Sales yards in Rockingham and Mandurah, maybe give them all a ring and offer to come down just to get some experience with anything they need help with eg car detailing

have a look at all the Social workers services around your area from Rockingham to Mandurah and offer to volunteer to help out anyone who needs Counselling.

You will meet people and if you work hard and get a bit of experience without getting paid it could lead to them offering you something part time or someone you deal with might know someone looking something you could do

Good Luck, if I hear off anything at all around the area that isn't too physical I will let you know

  3. A lot of teachers give students food, seen it, done it and it happens all the time. The plain fact is that a lot of kids come to school not having eaten breakfast and with perhaps a bag of chips in their lunch box if they are lucky.

Some schools offer hot breakfasts, these are generally low socio economic schools and as such they are given funding to enable this. The problem is when you have a school that is not classed as low socio and does not receive funding, but has children attending that do not eat regularly. Schools here do not want hungry children and so the school provides lunches - out of its own limited resources. Some parents just don't give a toss, others are genuinely in need and doing the best that they can.

Totally agree, I have been surprised at the amount of kids that come to school with no lunch, as you say some don't give a toss and some need that little help. I help in the school Canteen, once the lunch orders are out the teachers come to get a sambos for a few kids, my heart goes out to them !

  4. pretty much the same as yourself HH, just back from Bali recently then Bali again in April, that may be it till then, maybe a couple of nights in Bunbury or something, do enjoy our holidays, but I think getting the house renovations done is more pressing now:-((, we do hope to get to Sydney later on next year though x

  5. Not surprised Perth is in the top 10

As for Melbourne being No 1, well I can see why, it is an amazing Place, so much going on, a fantastic Vibe, the whole State of Victoria is pretty special too

Adelaide a lovely place, it isn't too small and the city is very well laid out and so easy to get around, but you have the hills right there, beautiful little towns and Glenelg is lovely spot,

  6. Thank you everyone for all your kind words and thoughts. I have slowly sorted my head out and as others have said i know what needs to be done. So surgery booked for next week. I have very little support so putting it out here is good for me. My oh is fabulous but i think it helps to take a bit of the pressure of him by putting it out here. I only have a few close friends both of my closest live overseas. Sadly my mum has mental health issues (life long ones) and is no support. So it helps too just get it out somewhere. Hard road ahead i think but one day at a time and i'll get there, :)

Good Luck with your Surgery and I hope the recovery is quick, stay positive xxxxxx:hug::hug:

  7. That's it Weegie you either Love it or Hate it, it is a third world Country I think most know that, it's seeing through all that and getting to know the people and their Culture, the hotels resort can be amazing and you don't have to leave some of them, never had Bali Belly so been very lucky just watch what I eat, no need to be sorry it just didn't float your boat, we are all different I think Melbourne is the bees knees and I love it there but some say it that it is a horrible place x

  8. I fly out 2 weeks today, we are staying in Nusa Dua (first time) and Legian which I love, depends what you want really, busy busy or a bit more relaxed, lots of the hotels are excellent, 4 star are very good and you can check trip advisor, Air Asia from Perth I just got the 4 of us Airfares and 6 nights for $1800 with insurance, we are going again in April, some hotels are a lot more expensive if you want right on the beach and a lot cheaper if you don't mind being a 5-10 minute walk inbetween all the mayhem, it is scary at first with the motorbikes and traffic, but the people are amazing food is fantastic some amazing places to visit. We don't go between Dec and March really humid and their rainy season

if you need anymore info just PM xxxxx
