1. I need some white/cream ones. I will go have a look tomorrow. Are you watching the game. I've come on here as I've got heartburn from the stress

They have them colours so you will find them no problem

As for the game, I am on the computer, no need to watch as I can hear Hubby and Son in the front lounge room, quiet at the moment so I gather it's okay at the moment lol xx

  2. We bought a kitchen starter pack when we first arrived. $50 and it had everything in it. I thought well if it only lasts a few months it won't be a problem. We are still using most of it 5 years later. I need some new sheets, I'll head there I reckon.

QQS, we did the same when my brother started on his own again when he separated from his wife and he still has a lot of it, I really think the sheets are good, I have a black set and grey set although I will be honest I don't use flat sheets lol, they get locked away x

  3. Australia is so cheap isn't it ?

I wouldn't say it is cheap but there are bargains to be found for certain things

but I think Kmart has upped their game and I am impressed, you are right Sustain some surprising good quality items

I even got placemats and chopping boards nothing was more than $5, new AFL ball for my Son and pump was only $24 and it is a Sherrin ball too, so he is chuffed and at the park with Hubby at the moment !!

  4. I have a new love for Kmart !!

I needed new sheets and a friend said to try Kmarts, so I got 2 sheets sets at $39each and I have to say they are fantastic

I don't go out too much apart from work, food shopping everything else I try to do online or pretty much do without

So I have been feeling alright so have ventured out a lot and I have to say Kmart has fantastic bargains

It is nearly as good as Penneys to us in Ireland but I think it is called Primark in the UK.

I got my daughter and myself shoes for $4 each just basic black laced sand shoes but they are great for me at work and all her friends were them, some cheap slip on ballets shoes for $4 and $10, cardigans for $9 and OH a hoodie for $15, I hate shopping for myself for clothes and very rarely do it, but I have to say Kmart have a great range and although it won't last forever I think the quality has improved so much.

Also great home décor items too as great prices.

I am not one to spend a lot of money especially on myself , rather go on holidays or finish getting the house done.

Do any of you shop at Kmart or a bit more upmarket ??x

  5. Yeah the $5 breakfast jeez, its a bargain, can't believe the complaints about it, I would buy it no problem, some snobs on here, were I work it is $22.45 for a big breakfast and flat white, haven't seen anything like that $5 in Perth, I know I can get a cheap basic breakfast when I go to Brisbane, lovely dovely !!

  6. https://www.facebook.com/pages/THE-GLADIATOR-CAFE/415854808549849

Said cafe and you see the price $4.90

    Said breakfast above

I don't tell lies only the truth

That is a bargain for sure, although very basic but for the price who would complain

I did also say I am in Perth, so I do believe everyone in the Eastern States can eat and drink for less than us with a lot more competition from what I have seen

  7. I am having a laugh at people saying you can get a full breakfast in Oz for $5 and maybe $10 with a coffee !!!!, never seen anything like that the cheapest Breakfast I have seen is $15 and then add $3.50 to $4.00 on top for your coffee I am in Perth though !!, I do hope you find your feet Marisa, it's all new and it will take time to work out the best places at reasonable prices, good luck to you both x

  8. So Chritso....has "joined" this site a month ago...

lives nor...but is the font of all knowledge on perth.

I hope he/ she is genuine.

Even if Chritso is genuine it will make no difference, I have been 27 yrs and know stuff all as far as most are concerned so I just keep my mouth shut, it is easier that way !!!

  9. Yeah our Son is doing it early June, will see how he goes, it can be a lot in YR 6 and I know people who pulled there kids out in the end, at our School they go to another school about 20min away once a week for the morning, hard when you are working parents, they felt it was more added pressure for the kids, don't know myself just going of what people have said, will wait and see what extra info we are given xx

  10. Ok this is my last post on this forum. Not for any grand gesture and not for anyone reason, but I personally don't need to constantly feel I have no valuable input which is what is happening every day I post anything really. I come on feeling happy, I leave feeling like a bomb is about to go off and I'm a deluded simpleton, and those in the know obviously know better.

This particular post was in relation to those saying budget food ( ie Wetherspoons etc.) is better value and better quality than anything you could find in Australia. I only know of my part of the world this one here and the one I used to live in. The tray of food I showed was $16.95. Offered by a lovely fish and chip cafe/bar in a lovely location. That tray ( in case there was any confusion, is a prawn cocktail, red snapper and chips, a side salad and a cake and coffee for $16.95. Last week the offer included a glass of white wine for $20). No where on their menu do they say they are marketing themselves as a high class restaurant and no where on their menu does it say their food isn't frozen. Sorry for being a dimwit and not caring if a nice budget meal is not haute cuisine.

I was mearly trying to point out that those of us who want to live here can do and can do on a budget including eating out. I apparently like to drink dolphin piss as wine, I like to eat shite frozen crap. Oh well so be it. I'm trying to point out that to the new arrivals you can still have a life and eat out etc.

But obviously if you want to eat $83 seafood towers, don't come here eh! Apparently London is the place to go, go figure.

Well said Cath, yesterday myself, Sister,Brother in Law and his parents and my Mum went out for lunch, most of them had Steak S/W and chips $9.95 my Mum had fish and chips for $13.95 and was happy with her house red wine for $5, BIL parents are in their late 60's and pensioners and were so happy that they found somewhere they hadn't been to for many years that they could have a nice meal at a great price, no water or dolphins though as I live in a **** hole as everyone who doesn't live here tells me, you get a bargain with a lovely view, don't go please xxxxxx

  11. I want to go to the Singapore Grand Prix, I say it every year. We stayed 1hr 15 minutes on the way over  I'd love to go though.

Cath same as my OH he wants to go for the Grand Prix too, not this year but maybe next year, he loves it and well a holiday is a holiday so I am happy to go along lol x

  12. Just wanted to let everyone know applying that I got my AHPRA registration in principle 8 days after they received the final document. My original application arrived in mid October. Unfortunately NMC messed me around sending them a statement of entry. AHPRA wanted it directly from then and NMC state they don't normally send it.

And I have till March 2016 to present :-)

Now onward's and upwards. Lets see if I can secure a position before I leave.

    Great news xxx

    xxxxxx

Ps I am home now, Tink was still dancing on the tables when I left , oops !!!! lol

  14. I agree, Bunbury is gorgeous to me but I love that sort of sea side town I've friends that live there. If your not "into" the quaint seaside place then why on earth move there. It doesn't take much to research in this day and age

QSS Bunbury61 doesn't live in Bunbury he hasn't been in Australia for a while he lives around the Midlands I think xx

  15. A macbook for year 5. I'd be telling the school right where to poke that. I've never known anyone over here in WA need any kind of electronic device in Primary.

Funny you should say that NB, I was out for Dinner last week with friends and they were saying how their kids needed an IPAD for YR 3 and someone elses needed them for YR 4, my son is going into YR 4 next month and nothing like that at our school x

  16. We'll organise a day to catch up down near the river, before all the kids go back to school MTT,glad to see you are going well, hot day tomorrow so try get back as early as you can, if you need any help Friday let us know and I will pop down xxx

  17. Ah we do that too HH, we are right near the Train Station so drop them off and they go to the City and Freo, then just pick them up when they get back, we don't go out with them all the time, oh no Fifi I can be stressed and out of my comfort zone, so when they go off I do a good tidy up and relish the few hours they are gone, then I am okay for another week or so lol x

  18. I must be odd, as I love it when we get visitors, we even had so many of my OH's family come once that some had to stay at my parents house, we always have a spare car usually, I find we all get along just fine, we do take them out a bit and have lots of BBQ's drinks at our own house, my parents, sisters and close family friends house, we always go back to King's Park at day/night as you can never be sick of that, my FIL (R I P) wasn't an easy man and was very jealous of how close we all were, but we got past that and he apologised not long before he passed away, haven't had any for while, so I am hoping we get some this year or next , although it can get very expensive with some of the fussy ones when it comes to eating x
