  5. My kids have there recess at 10.30, they each get a piece of fruit and one of the following crackers, pikeletes or biscuits, lunch is at 12pm and they both have a ham and cheese s/w everyday with a piece of fruit and one of the following yoghurt, cookies or muffin. I never send my kids to school with Juice,Chips or Chocolate I remember not being very well a few years ago in there old school and did'nt have much left so I sent my DD with a couple of timtams and some dry Nutri Grain with her Sandwiche and fruit and I got told off:-(( It was'nt something I was going to do all the time but there you go, so I guess they made me feel real guilty and it should'nt have I know, but thats just me Laney x
  6. I wash mine every 4days, my Mum has washed her hair once a week on a Sunday since she was little girl she has never used Conditioner and she has fantastic hair, funny my Granddad was a very well known Barbie in his day and he told her you had to let the oils come out first, another thing I would love to know how many washes do you all do??? I wash 2 times first to get rid of all dirt and second to clean. Laney x

  11. What I did Fiona was I sent it all to my MIL through a bankdraft and when we got there we just used her card once a week and took out 800euro or something like that at a time, the only reason I did this was because I could'nt handle not knowing what the balance of my account was, but then at the time I never thought I could have just checked my internet banking. Alot of people use Travellers Cheques too. Yes you can use your Debit card in the Uk just have a look to see what the fees might be for each transaction. Laney x
  12. sorry Bali need to re check what I type Laney
  13. Well I have had a good think and I have decided I may be classed as a Bogan I grew up in Armadale (OMG) had a fantastic time I smoke I go to Balia nd sometimes wear Tracky pants not Flanno's though I can also be loud But I have good Manners Most of all I take people for who they are Onya Mate Laney
  14. Ah Tyke that is a very common word used here in Perth also agree it is worse Laney
  15. What annoys me is that they assume all "Bogans" are from low socio-economic areas and also a few people assume they are all on the Dole, There are some very hard working people with lots of trades that work very hard and may class themselves as Bogans, I think alot of Australians have a little bit of Bogan in them maybe I do myself I will have a think on that one. But some of the people that are classed as Bogans are some of the nicest people you could ever meet, salt of the earth as they say. Now please I am not saying I agree with all there behaviours that go along with the name Bogan Laney
  16. Oh no it looks very close to the houses, stay safe Kate and family xxxxxx scary
  17. Ah Fiona it is very hard to click that buttom to say stuff it I am booking it, always thinking something better will come up but it will just keep an eye out all the time, when you spend that kind of money you kinda freak out, you will get something good soon xxxx

    Food Bills

I don't know where i go wrong or most of my friends I spend on average $320-$350 a week on shopping some friends upto $400, I do buy pepsi max cans every couple of weeks when they are on special, but I do stock up on alot of stuff, I spend alot on yogurts, cheese and ham, my kids just never seem to stop eating lol, they have 2-3 pieces of fruit a day, 3-5 veg a day and meat 6 times a week, we get take out I would say once a month, we all drink lots of water, I drink alot of tea. I find the cereals are expensive sometimes but I get them on special. That includes bird, dog and fish food too. I might have to re-budget myself I think Laney x
  20. Hi kelly same thing happened to me last year with Super Amart ordered in November and by early March I had enough of being told it was going to be another month after months I paid with my credit card and they refunded my money for all of it, so when I ordered again when I found something else I liked I made sure they had the stuff delivered within the 6 weeks, have a try not sure what store you bought your items at. In the end I just said I was sick of waiting and wanted to cancel the order Good Luck Laney x
  21. Shocking here too in Kelmscott Hills, kids fast asleep they sleep through anything, hubby still sick so just myself,PIO, Facebook and UKTV and a nice cup of tea with some Galaxy Minstrels, take care everyone Laney xxx
  22. I have a very sick Husband (really bad Virus) so he has been in bed since Sunday, I made a big Vindaloo Beef Curry and Spag Bog this morning for tonights dinner and tomorrow, kids showered and in Pj's, they have just had an early dinner now just waiting to see what happens, if the rain is bad I know my front will be shocking we live in the foothills and I am on the low side so my driveway is downhill so when it rains we have a little landslide and it ends up near the front door, everyone stay safe and lets hope it is not too bad. Take Care Laney x
  23. ANZ for me they are really good, was with Westpac for a 18 years and they would'nt give us a home loan so once we got our home Loan with ANZ we changed all our accounts over too Laney x
  24. Well said Kate I agree, I think sometimes people have to remember that we all like different things/places and what one person thinks is Paradise someone might not, I have been here 24 years and I have seen people come and go and maybe regret it or find there happiness, my life here is pretty good as is my family's but it might no be like that for everyone, we have to remember that we all don't have to agree but some people are just so so rude with there responses. We are all human and have feelings, but sometimes the banter can go a bit OTT, I think there is anti/pro for both Oz and the UK. Laney x
