I'm absolutely dreading that flight with two kids on my own! ha! My fiance is scared of flying though so I guess if he flies with us Ill have three babies to look after!! Ah i wasnt aware that the rental market was so fierce, when we have looked on realestate.com there seems to be a fair bit available but i guess that doesnt tell you how many people are applying for the same house. So tough when u have young kids as your limited to what freedom you have to get things sorted once you get there. The prices im Rockingham seemed quite reasonable. What trade do you and partner do? (if u dont mind me asking) My fiance is electrician and he still has to sit yet another course for his licensing when he gets there

Thanks Jars, couldnt quite believe it... was expecting a long wait! We dont want to rent ours out either Lara , when u say nightmare renting in perth do you mean cost wise or availability?! We have some friends in Fremantle and some in Bayswater, Fremantle is expensive though. Been looking at Rockingham and Secret Harbour area too. My fiance is planning on going out on his own once we get the visa to sort his electrical licence and find us somewhere to live before I come out with the kids. As he is the main applicant Im not sure if I can enter Oz without him or if he will need to fly back the UK and then fly out with us.

We have been in the process for years too Lara, very long winded and very expensive! We are also heading to Perth, me, my fiance and two daughters aged 3.5 and 21 months. My fiance has family in Queenslands and has visited a few times but ive never been so im too going on blind faith! lol! Really nervous but excited too! Just cant believe after all these years that we are finally at this point, thought it would never happen! Not there yet though I guess. Its going to break my heart handing over nearly £800 for our family medicals next week !!! We still need to sell our house too but hopefully we can be out there for early next year. When are you hoping to be out there?

Well its looking like we do have a case officer from what others have said on here! Yay! And I read the email they sent in a bit more depth and it would seem so as they named the officer and team that were dealing with the app! Not bad after only 5 days of submitiing our app!

We submitted our 176 app on 7th May and had an email from team 4 this morning requesting medicals and police clearances. We have medicals booked in on 16th May. I checked the status online and it now says 'application being processed further' ....does this mean we have a case officer now?!

I checked my emails this morning and had an email from Team 4 confirming that they needed our medicals and police clearances so emailed them back informing we have the medicals booked next week and police cleareances due back soon. Checked status online and just says applicatioon being processed further. Not sure if this means we have a CO or not really ??!!!

Ive been looking at this school too as we could potentially be moving to the Rockingham area. I went on the Rockingham Beach school website and it looks very impressive (know its hard to judge by a website!!) I did try and contact them through their contact sheet on the website but no one has got back to me ...going to try again. I understand that they need to be registered by July to start to Feb term and my daughter will be due to start Kindy when we get there. Dont really want her not to start school because I havent managed to register her! Shes already at pre school here but they in take later over there. Have u managed to contact them at all?

We have our medicals for 176 visa booked for next wednesday and for a family of four its going to be £760 ... if its just you though its £290 each. Not cheap lol!!

We booked our medicals yesterday for next wednesday (16th May) Haven't got CO yet but the woman on the phone found our application with the TRN number and said it was fine to book as long as we had that. Sending the stuff off for police clearances this week. Still no CO's for anyone on the May thread then?!

Ok thank you, that really helps. Will thw work experience need to be past and present? Will references from previous employers do? Do u know of any particular document that lists the type of evidence u need to supply? thanks! Best get up loading yet more documents!!!

Maybe a thick question but on the document checklist bit where it lists each document to upload it says 'required' ...does this title change when that particular document is uploaded as Ive uploaded them all and it still says required?! Also seen people talking about form 80 and 1221? What are these? We werent asked for them.

176 Visa submitted today !!! Can finally join the May gang !!!! Hopefully Ive uploaded all the right docs, didn't ask for any work experience evidence or self employed evidence as I thought it might.... anyone else have this? Going to ring and book medicals tomorrow. Think a few people still waiting for CO's from the April thread so not gtting hopes up of getting one too soon!

Hi we have just about everything ready to submit our 176 application in the morning (joining the May Gang!!!!) ...just been scanning all the relevant documents in and just wondered if anyone knows if they will ask for evidence of my partner (main applicant) being self employed at present?! Just want to have it all ready. We have old references from previous employers but not really relevant now. Thanks

I agree 100% with you. Thats our problem. We just dont do anything or even talk about it because we are to scared to bring up the subject for someone to shout racist. :skeptical:

One off the many reasons we are leaving this crap but once great country! It pains me to see the state of these lazy scumbags. They and our politicians openly P**s all over us, our great history and long distant memory of what our fore farthers thought and died for. Whats worse is we let them get away with it. ooo hopefully we will be able to join this thread too with our application, just waiting for our daughters' passports to come so we can submit 176. Ive started filling out the form online but cant go past the screen where i need to put their passport numbers in. Does the app take a long time to fill out? Can I ask why u need to include p60 and work references? My partner works for himself so I guess they will want evidence of that. Ive seen Feb and March appicants get their visas granted within 6/8 weeks so hopefully April/May will too!

Started filling in the online application form for 176 visa (just waiting for daughters' passports to come through so we can complete it) but it asks to list dependent mother, father, brothers, sisters etc even if they are not migrating. I thought by dependent it meant people that are dependent on you (which they arent) so why do i need to include their info?! Me and my partner aren't married and it doesnt give me an option to add her ..unless this comes later in the app ?

toOZ2012 yes i presume it was a direct grant, we applied through the website ourselves... not through a migration agent

We had our WA State Sponsorship approved today!!!We applied on 26th March an approved today 27th April so just under 5 weeks! Yay! Hopefully you guys waiting won't be much longer xx

Well done. We have had our state sponsorship approved this morning. Thought it would never come. No questions asked with straight approval.
