Blue 247000km rego until 12/09/13. automatic air con car runs great and no problems with it. we have had a new radiator and radiator tap fitted (receipts can be seen) We are asking $3800 as we would like a quick sale as we have seen a 4x4 that we need to carry our sons motocross bikes.

  3. Thanks everyone. the school we wish to send him made a mistake in saying year 7. He will start year 6 in January 2013. Queensland education emailed me back to say he can go in year 7 but would depend on his academic ability etc... His dob puts him year 6 thank goodness. x
  4. Thanks guys, I think I will ring them like you said. I have also emailed Qld education for confirmation. xxx
  5. Hello I hope someone can help. My son is turning 11 on Saturday, his date of birth is 01/12/01. He is currently in year 6 in the UK. I have enquired to a school on the Gold Coast about enrolment and they have replied saying he will have to start year 7 in January 2013???? This would mean he will never complete year 6. I am really confused because when we lived on the Sunshine Coast, he was enrolled in year 4 in January 2011. I really wanted him to go to this school and don't know how to proceed. Please can anyone advice what year he should be in. Thanks Jill xxx
  6. Hi, I am a little (well lot) confused with what year my son will be in when we return in January 2013. He is 11 on Saturday and his date of birth is 01/12/01. He is currently in year 6 in UK. I have had a reply from a school on the Gold Coast to say he has to start Year 7 in January 2013??? This means he will have never completed year 6. When we lived on Sunshine Coast, he was in year 4 in January 2011. Please can someone advise as I am very worried that he will miss out and his education will suffer. Thanks Jill xxx

  12. Thanks. I have just emailed them to ask. I am petrified of lifts, its the confined space and the feeling when they move. It's daft I know. x
  13. Hi I know this is a silly question but I hope someone can help. I am terrified of lifts and was wondering if you book a room at the Changi transit hotel, do they have any ground floor rooms or if not can you use the stairs instead of the lift? I dont want to book and then arrive and end up sitting in reception :embarrassed: Thanks Jill

    Molendinar??

Hi My husband house shared on Crestwood. It looks a really nice estate. At the top there is Crestwood Plaza which as a Super IGA supermarket, coffee shop, hairdressers, Noodles box and a few other shops. The schools are a bit far away so you would need to drive. Its not to far from Ashmore where there are banks, chemist etc... Jill x
  16. Hi My hubby house shared and it cost him $130 per week. Alot cheaper than cabins etc...
  17. We got friendly with a few Aussie's at a caravan park we stayed at. My OH greeted them with "O reet?" and says bye "see u in a bit". The Aussies thought this was so amusing and used to say it all the time from then on even to each other. I didnt like going to Woolies and the checkout girl would say "hey, how it going?" I would answer "I fine thanks, how are you?" They would look at me like I was an alien and normally just grunt at me. Are you not supposed to answer there question?
  18. Hi Can anyone tell what it is like to live in Biggera Waters? Also any info on Biggera Waters State School? Thanks Jill

    Son dilema

Hi Thanks for all your replies. We only stayed in Australia for 9 months before we returned. We have looked on the internet about Australian Army but you must be a citizen. If he decides to leave the Army whilst still in training but our visa has expired, he still will be dependant on us as he will be under 18 and unemployed. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he either doesnt get in or that he doesnt like it. I know this may sound horrible but at least we can then all be together and he will be safe (or at least as safe as can be). We are being supportive with his choice but just wish he would understand how dangerous it is and how the Army dont look after you. He would just be a pawn in a losing battle. He just thinks its one big adventure course so if he does go, he can see the reality of the discipline, structure, orders and HARD WORK. If this is the case, then everything will be ok and we can all return. Jill

    Son dilema

Hi He has already been in the cadets but wants the real thing. We dont want to stop him as its his dream and we know if we force him back to Australia he might resent us. He does like Australia but the Army is first. He has said if its not for him, then he will deffo come to Australia.
