Hi Does anyone know a good mortgage broker to help organise a home for when we return to the UK? I read somewhere that we need the offer of employment and a deposit. We don’t need 6 months pay slips like in Australia? Is this correct?

Hi, ive been in Australia for 10 years now and feel it’s time to go home. Over my time here I’ve had ups and downs of homesickness but this last year has been the worst! So decided to make the decision to move back. I just don’t know where to begin. The whole process seems so much harder than coming out here. I’ve read that due to not having a credit history we would need to pay 6 months up front in rent. Is this accurate? We don’t have a lot of money behind us and just not sure how we are going to manage the whole move back which makes it even more depressing. I have 4 children, one that starts year 11 in September. I’ve read posts saying get them back for GCSE’s but we just don’t have the money right now! We need to save for a year or so to get us there. Which means would I have to stay to put my other child through school first? I’m in such a terrible predicament and not sure where to begin. Any help greatly appreciated

Hey my daughter was born in Australia, will this make it harder to enrol her at school upon our return? thank you Carly

Hi I am in the process of organising a move back to the UK. I have to go back to organise work which will therefore put my move back by at least 2 more years due to finances and jobs. I will have a son going into year 11 at this point. Just wondering could he apply for 6th form if we try and aim to get him back for year 12 or would his ATAR not transfer over? I would also have a year 9 student. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Lesley Great to hear from you! We arrive 1st Sept and we are so excited, I have also thought about becoming a mature student and studying to become a nurse. My youngest son is nearly 2 so perhaps he could become Luca's friend  I have 3 boys all together. If you dont mind me asking what does your husband do? I am worried about my husband finding a job. I am on facebook if you fancied having a chat on there? Hopefully speak to you soon Carly Lee and Boys

Hey Bluebell We used gomatilda and would highly recommend them to anyone, they were extremely helpful and we got our visa much quicker than expected, no question was ever to small and the lady I dealt with was fantastic. I have read about some agencies who have fees for letters, phone calls, so be careful who you go with. I have sent you a link to there website. www.gomatilda.com Carly, Lee and Boys

Hi Mac We applied for a state sponsorship with Brisbane as my hubby's job is on the skilled shortage list and they are sponsoring them, when we intially applied there were loads and loads of jobs that he could apply for but now we have our visa and ready to apply there is hardly anything. We have to stay in Brisbane for 2 years before we can move states but we are happy with this (if he gets a job) Carly Lee and Boys
