  1. Adults are materialistic not children.. Adults belive that a big house, a beach and a park will be a better life .. I grew up in a flat in north london, have fond memories of the bus and tube.. How big was my bedroom ...? **** knows
  2. One can't talk and the other wants to move to England , kids don't understand.. They fit in anywhere and are not materialistic like adults as proved in this thread
  3. Read their post.. Good job, holidays , friends etc etc.. So my question is just what more do you expect then..? It's really that simple
  4. House prices your right, melbourne and sydney are more expensive but everything else perth is the most expensive in Australia
  5. Just how much more you expecting then..? But of sun on your back..?'
  6. Mining and oil and gas single handedly made WA the most expensive place to live from the cheapest.. With it all finishing it will have a massive knock on effect in the next 12/24 months , and if the mining wasn't what made it the most expensive place to live what was it..?
  7. Intrest rates are cut to try to stimulate a stuttering economy, not really to keep overinflated house prices high, mortgage repayments may seem low but it's only delaying the pain when they rise
  8. Cutting rates is a sign of a weak economy
  9. That's what I mean, only a matter of time
  10. Simply way of looking at it, you as a parent can give your children whatever life you want, you make the decisions .. There are just as many after school activities in the UK as Australia. An adult makes a better life not a country
  11. I'm guessing you don't have a new built house, no garden at all
  12. I'm working on barrow Island and can confirm layoffs during this year, wheatstone is a little bit behind barrow but once their finished then that is it.. Construction is done.. Thousands will be searching work with nothing in the pipeline for oil and gas and mining .. Boom is over
  13. They won't make it, the clock is ticking.. Their going under and then we all follow
  14. Your kidding, the U.S. has a debt it cannot repay, only a matter of time before it goes bust. Only so long you can carry on borrowing billions. The world I'm afraid is heading towards a depression triggered by the U.S. going bust
  15. Not completely true , I agree rates will continue to fall, sign of a weak economy
  16. Some of the lads I know work for the best electrical company in perth and have just had a $6 an hour pay cut, sign of the times I'm afraid
  17. Be interesting to see how far perths housing prices go over the next 3-5 years , I recon at least a 30% drop from their peak. With the mining boom finishing up and barrow Island and wheatstone projects due to finish soon too the booms then really over, you only have to look at the amount of rentals around now , there not shifting and people are slashing rents. WA went from the cheapest place to live in Australia to the dearest on the back of the boom.. The boom is over and WA still being the same as it was prior to the boom it's going to go back to how it was before.
  18. with the exception of South Australia there all hard to get a licence in
