  1. Hi My OH is a bricklayer and we had a dream to come to the land of milk and honey! Back in 2007 they said it was hard but there was plenty of work and now the mining boom is over they say the same, best advice is if he is good at what he doea, get out there, walk onsite and ask for work. Give it a try, if he is worth it he will get work and a good wage but the summer is a killer no doubts. The bush flies will test him but most brickies have a strong mindset so good luck. Getting up at 4am is no fun but if he finishes at 3pm and you have a pool it' ok x
  2. Hi We are looking to ship my Suzuki Swift Sport back to the UK from Perth, it's only done 1500 km's and I purchased it in November 2015. My husband has a Mitzy Challenger purchased the same time and also low mileage and we have be quoted RoRo $4950 for both. I feel it's worth it, what do you think? If we trade them in or try to sell them here we will lose more money than it costs to ship and from what I have seen they are dearer to purchase in the UK. We do have belongings to ship also and wondered if a container would be better and that we can them maybe store stuff in the cars. Is this right or am I deluded!! Thanks
  3. Hi Bob The crates are plastic, why will the cost more? I will get the measurements to you asap and as we only live round the corner from Gatwick can they fly from there?
  4. Hi I have worked in the hospital, it seems very nice and is rather like a hotel than a hospital. Good luck!
  5. Thanks Bob, they are going back to Oz, they flew to UK 2 and half years ago but although they had their Rabies jabs they didn't require the blood test to leave Australia and had we known we would be going back again we would have had the blood test in Perth and then kept it up here! Hindsight ay .... but although their vaccine is still current I have had the booster done first and the blood test is on the 30th March and that is when the 180 days count down begins, which right now seems like forever! So for anyone that thinks they may ping-pom it's worth knowing that they should keep their pets up to date with RNATT whilst in the UK. I could have risked paying 110 gbp each dog to get the RNATT done first but their antibodies may have been too low and then I would have to pay for another test after the booster, seems silly to risk wasting any money not too mention the time gone by as it takes around 2 weeks for the result. I am hoping we can use the crates they came to the UK in as they haven't changed in size or weight and do you know if there are any plans to open quarantine again in Perth?
  6. My dogs are due the RNAT test on the 30th March do they just need to pass the test or is there a number they have to achieve for a pass result please Bob?
