They had to sell there house to get money to pay for the visa as jts about 50k each.

Hi, my parents are currently in the que for their parent visa (the expensive long term one). They put the paperwork in july and have just sold their house and want to know if theres any way they can move over earlier before there visa is granted? Or whether they just have to wait it out on the UK. Thanks.

we live 20 mins from the city, 1 hour from gold coast and 1.15 from sunshine coast. currently in Birkdale and have just bought a house in Redland bay. it does have beaches but they are more like bays. some of the good suburbs you could look at here are wellington point, Ormiston, Cleveland, Victoria point, manly west and Birkdale. theres a large English background here too with 2 british fish and chip shops, a proper English curry place called the spice avenue and 2 English shops that sell English goodies.

Farming work is all year round so depends but most is up north. I woukd recomend geting your rsg and rsa and applying for some bar jobs. Depends how long you want to stick around one area for. Some hostels do work for accomodation too. Starts geting real hot in november through to feb. The further upnorth you go at this time the hotter and wetter it will be.

More about where than when. Wouldnt go up north at any of those times. Monsoons and wet season. Start at the bottom and work up. At least if you came in feb it will be nearest the end of wet season, whereas november you would still have to go through it.

hi guys, we had to provide more info recently and I emailed my MA today, knowing I probably wouldn't get much feedback, but he said when immi asked for more info last year which has other clients, it took 2 weeks to a month to get to finalised once they received all the info they needed. This may help some of you in the same boat :-) although im trying not to get my hopes up too much, but a little bit of goodish news on a time scale makes me feel a little better knowing its getting closer and closer
