The nomination application dates are from last year, which I suspect is why they're processed quickly relative to the visa application.

Evening all, just been told immi have requested further information on my nomination, being a statement on my current employment as my contract was signed some years ago. Fingers crossed they turn it around quickly!

Would that not be 'paying for visa sponsorhip'? I thought the employer had to pay the nomination fee https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work-1/payment-for-visas-declaration-requirement

Out of curiosity, why would it be two months? Year end is in three weeks' time.

Reciprocal healthcare covers the adequate insurance requirement under visa condition 8501 for a 457. As I understand it, you can actually apply for full medicare as soon as your 186 application goes in, provided you have a current visa which allows you to work.
