  1. quite a few "off lead" beaches at the Sunshine Coast that are really lovely walks but may not be the best choice for work.
  2. Hi, We have 3 Golden Retrievers that we bought over in April and found that quarantine looked after them all very well, we are in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast and you are allowed a 3rd dogs providing you register them and you have 30square meters or more of yard for them to exercise (information from Sunshine Coast Council) We had our dogs transferred by air from Melbourne to Brisbane then collected them. Good Luck with your move
  3. Thanks Freesia and yes the agents where wonderful, we are very happy to be given this second chance and this time we are looking to go to Adelaide : )
  4. Hi, We just had 2 years of trying various agents and have just managed to obtain our Visa with Thames Migration in London, for us they where the best but as others have said just contact a few of them by phone if possible and get a feel for who you are happy with, plus check out as much as possible online. Good luck
  5. I just wanted to post a very cut down version of events leading up to our RRV being granted, the last post I made on Pomsinoz was to ask for an agent to help us in 2013. Back in August 2012 we were all set to leave the UK for Brisbane on our PR136 visa when my wife Tracey needed to have an urgent operation, this caused us to cancel everything including flights, quarantine for 2 dogs, accommodation etc. After her operation we only had a few weeks before our visas expired but Tracey was not allowed to fly for a few months so it meant that our visa's did expire. I called Australia House and explained our situation and they said we could apply for an RRV but I may require a job offer as our total time in Australia was only 9days which was our visa validation visit back in 2008. Since then we tried 3 migration agents (1 very well known on the forum) to help us through the process but none was willing to help or take our case until by chance I received an email in September 2014 inviting us to an Australian open evening hosted by Hannibal from Thames Migration in London, this was odd because I had never heard of the company before so I emailed back explaining our situation and a lady called Deepika replied asking for all the details of our case. A few days later she telephoned me and said they would be willing to take our case and sent us all the forms to start the process. During the next few months I managed to acquire a job offer through one of the agency's that Thames Migration recommended to us and this was added to our application along with all our other paperwork. Anyway our application was submitted and we got the visa granted a few days ago and are over the moon, we have now started to prepare to leave for Oz as soon as our dogs can be processed for quarantine. Thames Migration sorted everything for us and I cant praise them enough because without them we would not be getting ready to leave for Australia, from the beginning there attitude was very different from the other agents we had tried as our case was not easy and I am so glad we found them and I would totally recommend them to anyone. We are all Hoping to be in Adelaide by Christmas and look forward to meeting up:hug: All the best Phil, Tracey & Jessica :hug::smile:
  6. Thanks very much I will have a look.
  7. Can anyone recommend a good migration agent to handle our RRV application please. would like an Oz based agent. Many Thanks Phil
  8. Thank you for that, I have spoke to Australia House before and they where very helpful & like you we can substantiate all the situation so may be worth contacting them.
  9. Hi AJ, I have spoke to agent who said its the only option we have so got to give it a go.
  10. Thanks Petals, We was looking to locate near Brisbane but would not be fussy really, I will check out some online papers as really giving up on seek.
  11. Hello to all on Pomsinoz, This is my first post on the forum so please be gentle. I wonder if anyone can help, myself and the family had planned to move to Australia last Oct on a 136 permanent resident visa & had everything booked and ready to go after a year of planning BUT then my wife was ill and to cut a very long story short needed an operation and follow up tests which meant we had to cancel our move. Thankfully all went well with Tracey’s operation and she is fine but our 136 visa has now expired and I have been told that to get a Resident Return extension I will need to have a Job offer which is proving impossible for me to find from the UK. I have applied to many jobs on Seek.com but I am hitting my head against the wall. I am a Microsoft qualified I.T. engineer but also have a vast electronics background but I just feel that I am getting nowhere. Has anyone been in this situation or can offer any advice. Best Regards Phil & Family
