RachyB123 Posted May 24, 2014 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Hi, I'll be arriving to Melbourne in October and wondered what the best areas are for backpackers? Hoping to meet new people as I'll be travelling on my own and don't want to end up in the middle of nowhere or dodgy areas. I have my WHV and plan to travel anti-clockwise for 6-8 weeks before ending up in Sydney or even back to Melbourne and will then hopefully find some work in the lead up to Christmas. (Does it sound feasible to do a full tour in 2 months then get work during the Christmas season?) Would appreciate your advice as I'm new to travelling solo!!!
