Just had our house valued in the UK, and trying to work out our budget and funds what we have to take with us and what we could afford to borrow once we get out to Australia. Mortgage calculators are the same no matter what currency you are using, the £ sign is just replaced with a $ sign. A simple calculator can be found at INFOCHOICE | Banking | Calculate | Loan Repayments but most calculators have out of date interest rates by default so see INFOCHOICE | Banking | Home Loans for an overview of current rates. Sorry Graham & Kym You are way, way wrong here. Interest repayments alone will be around 8.5% of the $100K, therefore $8,500 and given there are 12 months in a year that will be just over $700/month.
