lynne1266 Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 I have read that from 1st July 2012 there will be new reforms to help the transition from 457 to PR. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/_pdf/perm-sponsored-reforms.pdf I'm sure I am reading this right but wanted to check....with the new reforms am I right in thinking that when here on a 457 you will have to wait until you have worked for the company for 2 years before they can sponsor you for a RSMS ???We have been here for 6mths now and we were hoping to apply for PR soon but if this is now the case we will have to wait another 18mths !!If anyone could give me some info on this I would realy appreciate it.
