tomgolland
Hi guys, I've been doing some research into removal companies for our move back to the U.K in September. We are planning on only taking a dozen or so Tea Chest boxes of personal effects. I have a reasonable quote but am not quite sure what the tax and duty relief is and whether we will be eligible and if not how much might it be? Cheers, Tom
scuffythetugboat
Hi Tom, So long as everything you are sending are your personal possessions and you have owned them for 6 months no duty or tax would be payable to the UK customs and excise. Any alcohol or tobacco would attract duty and you must declare it. You can look up the rules on their website.
