Guest sophiaT
Not sure about the furniture but you may want to add a "man cave" in your home, after all males need a sanctuary, from rooms festooned with doilies, stuff from Bed, Bath and Beyond, and to rest his weary bones upon sofas and chairs chosen solely for their comfort without regard to décor, fengs that have been shuied or anything else. This area is the man cave, which more people are putting in their homes and it's not a bad move for the homes' value either. To read more on this, check here: Putting in a man cave will not necessarily hurt home value.
Bobbsy
I haven't found furniture here expensive at all--I've paid less for better quality than I did in the UK. For cheap, check out Fantastic Furniture. For better quality (but still very reasonable) look at Super Amart--both are chains available in most towns/cities. Don't take the prices on their web sites as gospel--as with most purchases here, haggling can generally get you 10-25% off, more if you buy several things at a time.
