dunesurfer
Hi there,Hope someone can give some advice. My wife has hospitality, restaurant management and team leader experience. She needs to do a skills assessment but the only two positions in trade recognition is Chef and Cook for hospitality. This is of course not what she did and have certificates for. We are not sure if we should fill in the block on the TRA application, that says what position we want a skills assessment for. Possible to leave it blank? Or should she apply for a different position or another trade body? Or do we just send her paperwork and they will decide what her trade is? Thank you
pswebb38
Might be worth asking that question to a reputable agent (a few post on here) as they will be the best people to help you out.
doing a geographical
Mate. What visa are you going for? And are you sure restaurant manager is on the SOL or ENSOL lists? Or are you just seeking 457 temporary visa? Don't leave the occupation blank! They won't decide for you.

doing a geographical
In that case i agree with pswebb38. If you're paying for an agent, may as well get your money's worth.
Danielstea
@ dunesurfer As I apply for cook to TRA , you have to meet the job description tasks of a cook from AU and also have a qualification in this field . I don't advise you to apply for this occupation because restaurant management is different ."doing a geographical " is right , you can't leave blank the application form and ask TRA to decide . You have to write the occupation you apply for. Try www.deewr.gov.au/tra and read the guidelines for migration skills assessment and then you will understand . Good luck
