dinkydoo
If I want to take my cat over to oz and he will have to spend more than one month in quarantine because of his rabies vaccination, does he have to spend the first two months in the UK or can he fly over and spend all his quarantine time in Sydney? BobPetairUK
Dear Dinkdoo. Your cat must wait at least 60 days in UK after the rabies blood sample and then spend the next 4 months in quarantine in Australia. He is allowed to come out of quarantine 180 days after the date of the rabies blood sample and a minimum of 30 days in quarantine, so bear that in mind. The biggest factor in sending him over to do extra time in quarantine makes it so much more expensive than him boarding in a cattery in UK, but at least if he is in Australia you can go and see him. dinkydoo
Thank you Bob, My furry friend failed his first blood test and am waiting for his second test results this week! I will contact Joanna when I know more because our situation may change and we may need to go sooner than originally anticipated. Thanks
