Guest Missiemo Posted May 18, 2006 Share Posted May 18, 2006 Hi Everyone I guess this question is more for you guys that are already in OZ After reading lots and lots of comments about different suburbs in Victroia we are still finding it really difficult to decide where to settle, I am concerned we will not have to much time to be driving around looking at all the areas, so please would some one mind telling what are the areas they would recommend. Having going to Melbourne every year for the last 15 years I would recommend the following (dependent upon your financial circumstances)!! BRIGHTON - on the beach (expensive) (Train/buses) CAUFELD (again expensive) Train to city ELSTERNWICK - (cheaper) on the TRAM link to the City/trains BENTLEY - Train link to city All the above apart from Brighton are approx. 20 minutes to beach. 20-30 minutes train to city 1 - 1/2 hours drive to the DANDENONG Mountains Hope this helps - Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
