The only thing we didn't like is they would not let us go and look around as we could not show a long term address as we were still in short term accommodation! So true what you say about getting a place or not and until you go and have a lookie I guess you can't always tell. This chicken-and-edge mularkey of accomodation, catchment areas and admissions is a nightmare though I suppose you can't blame schools as so many people must duck out etc. Doesn't help though.
