Guest fluke77
Hi I moved to Brisbane from Sydney after my 457 sponsor went bankrupt and had to withdraw my 856 after it was pending for 5 months. I obtained a new 457 sponsor in Brisbane and have another 856 pending. My question is this,If i where to leave my sponsor, to relocate shortly after the 856 was granted (weeks after it is granted) could that be regarded as a character issue by DIAC and a reason to revoke my visa? Im well aware of the moral issue and dont consider it lightly but im not happy in Brisbane. My sponsor paid a recruitment agency $8000 which id offer to pay back. RockDr
It could be regarded as you having lied on your application about your intention to take up the job. If you have good reasons to be leaving (badly treated etc) then it's generally not a problem, but you just leaving because you feel like it isn't going to go down very well if you employer reports you to DIAC (DIAC generally don't go checking that you're still in your job, and so this will only be an issue if your employer informs DIAC). Guest fluke77
i appreciate the advice. Do you know of any examples of DIAC investigating and actually revoking a visa? Ive heard there is no legal basis allowing them to to revoke it. Once your a resident surely your entitled to all the rights of a resident. joe

You can search the decisions to see if there are any that have gone to tribunal that can give you the examples you are looking for. http://www.mrt-rrt.gov.au/Decisions/Decisions/default.aspx

calNgary
Try calling Cheryl Bird of Australian Bird Migration, she has helped quite a lot of PIO members and is based in Brisbane. Cal x
