We dont know anyone here and are feeling it a little bit as we were very social in the UK (from London). If anyone is in the same boat and wants to meet up over a glass of wine please get in touch. MARYROSE02 Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 If you follow an EPL team, going to the pub where the fans meet is one way of meeting new people, not just Poms and not just blokes either! Since I started meeting up with other Spurs fans at The Triple Ace bar on Elizabeth & Campbell Sts I've made some new friends. There are some couples go, too - Aussie bloke and his Pommie wife, Pommie Bloke and his Aussie girlfriend. I'm not supposed to mention A******L but, I do know that they meet either in Cheers Bar on George St or the Sports bar in the casino at Darling Harbour. There are other clubs that meet in Cheers too (I think?) Google the club and see what comes up. There's some people who meet up for drinks on Thursdays around the city? I've either seen it advertised on here or on British Expats? Join some clubs - bushwalking, sailing, whatever takes your fancy. Start going to your local RSL/Leagues/Bowling club.
