They told us they were the top end of the market price-wise, estimating £5.5-6k for a 20ft container including insurance, customs and unpacking. We thought because they had an office in the Brisbane area along with their own clearance facility that this would be the best way to go. They were quite competitive price wise (July 2008) but in hindsight, I think all the shipping companies are the same. We had to get their Area Manager in during the packing stages otherwise nothing would have arrived unscathed. The packers were all very young and poorly packed a lot of our more vulnerable items such as china and glass. The other end were very good, it all arrived on time and they unpacked and cleared up behind them. Very friendly bunch. However, we had to claim for a lot of damaged items, chipped plates and glasses, damaged piano etc. Just make sure you have insurance whoever you decide to go with. Thanks, Nats Just seen the price, we paid £4150 for a sole use 20' container door to door hull to perth with them last month. Included AQIS fees but sorted own insurance though. As someone said they arent the cheapest BUT they do include all costs in their quotes so your not hammered with an unexpected big bill on arrival like you are with some other companys. Our first 20ft container had a broken door seal and they immediately rejected it and organised another from Bristol port. This came later on that day making only a few hours delay. The packers from Birmingham depot were really good and packed my crystal and china so well. The sofas and our table we have had in the family for years were packed with great care. On the Oz side we had calls to let us know when we could get it delivered, we tracked it all the way here. Nothing was broken really except a lamp stand got dented and a few cheap glass bowls!
