Guest pandp
Hi guys, My OH was just cleaning his tools to take them over to Oz and was wondering if customs are strict regarding rust?
calNgary
Everything should be rust and dirt free or customs will probably have you for fumigation or dispensing of the item when you arrive. My hubby put most of tools through a hot engine wash (de greaser) and we had no trouble ,even though alot of the tools were over 20 yrs old. fleabo
Some of our trampoline poles were rusty - they were power washed a wiped down with Jeyes fluid. We think they checked them as those boxes had a quarantine sticker on them when they arrived at home.
calNgary
Jeyes Fluid is great stuff,, its very hard for customs to say you havent cleaned the stuff when the container stinks of Jeyes,,lol,, lots of people on here have used it succesfully for cleaning outdoor stuff.
