Diving Instructor going mad!!

:cry:Hi folks, Im a PADI diving instuctor hoping to move out to Queensland, but the whole visa thing is driving me nuts! It seems as tho my chosen career is not on the skilled worker thingy, my other half has a cousin in Perth who will sponser us, but with no proffessional qulifications, it seems we dont cut the grade! seems daft, as I would have thought I could get work anywhere along the coast. can it really be that diving instructors are not as needed as I thought? Im glad there doesnt seem to be an easy way in as thats our problem here but.........someone please help is there a good company out there that will help us apply without costing an arm and a leg?

Hi and welcome to the site. Have you talked to an agent? If you call a few, they will give you some advice over the phone and by email. You can then get which ever one you choose to help you. Its worth paying out for their help if your visa isnt straight forward.

Hang in there, dont give up until all posibilities are exhausted!

good luck

Maybe You Could Go In On A Temp Visa Where You Have To Start Your Own Business Up, And Do Driving Instructor As You Can Work For Yourself, Not Sure If This Is Possible But I Would Phone Some Agencys Up Or One May Answer On Here For You. We Used Visaconnection.co.uk And They Are Very Good. Good Luck And Let Us All Know How You Get On.

All The Best,

thanks alot you both just made a dull english day a little brighter! so you really think agents are a good idea?

Hi Niko, agenst are worth their weight when your application isnt straight forward. They should give you the first call for free to see if they can help you first. There are a couple of agents on here, who offer advice, Allan collet is the MD of Gomatilda maybe try a PM. Or check their website and maybe give them a call. I spoke to Marina (in the southampton offie) who explained the process in a language i could understand!!! lol

Always worth a go!

fingers crossed for you!

Definately I Will Keep My Fingers Crossed For You That An Agent Will Answer Your Question On Here For You Then You Have Not Got To Wait Till Monday To Phone Round, The Visa Process Is A Waiting Game Though Can Be Hard At Times Waiting But I'm Sure You Will Get There In The End.

Hi Matey

Sorry to be negative but just a bit of advice, look into the salaries of Diving Instructors out there, they are very very low, i'm a qualified PADI Specialist Instructor and i couldn't afford to live out there on the money they pay. I was out in Airlie Beach & the Whitsundy Islands at Christmas on hol and went to do some dives and as soon as they found out my Quals i was offered jobs everywhere, but very bad pay which is why they can't find anyone.

Maybe look at it as a second part time job out there while you find your feet.

Good luck though.
