taking reports to medicals

We are hoping to book our medicals soon.

My son has a fairly mild (I think) medical issue but his consultant has said today, when I talked aboiut our emigration plans, that you can't get his medication in Australia and that this may cause a problem when doing the medicals. Has anybody else experienced this??

Also I've seen on here that people have reports done from their specialist on their condition. Is that something I get done before the medicals appointment and then take the report with me to the medical appointment or do i wait for the panel doctor to ask for a report?

Many thanks

Rachel

Hi, we had our meds done and took our daughters letters from her specialists with us for the med centre to upload. I think the more you take with you the better, we also took xrays but they didnt need those just the letters. 3 out of 4 meds have now been finalised and hers has been referred, (which we were expecting) just waiting to see if the doctor wants more info or the letters that were uploaded are satisfactory. I would take what you can. Good luck.

my son has adhd and he passed medical no problem!! No questions asked we took letters from specialist and from school! Since being out here the doctors are weird I dont trust them we have gone private and paying alot of money and not happy with the service, but as we dont know any better we are having to go with it just to get his medication.

I would be surprised if they cant offer you an alternative to the medication that your kid is on, our specialist here has halved the amount of medication our son is on saying we were over medicating him and that the amount the UK allowed him to get was crazy!
