lsbc1976
We are flying out on Monday. Glasgow to Dubai , 2 hour stop and then onto perth, travelling with Emirates. Do we get off the plane and go into another departure lounge in Dubai? Do we go through security and passport control again? I take it we dont need a visa for entering ubai as we arent really entering??
ayatollah
You will not need a visa as when on stopovers you are technically on international land and have not entered Dubai. Until you pass through customs...
Guest AustrAnglian
Hi, you will get off the plane at Dubai and go into the transit lounge area. No visas needed for transit passengers. Emirates flights go into Dubai Terminal 3 which is the newest and shiniest terminal. Lots of space and duty free shopping, restaurants, food court and even a Starbucks. If you have a long stopover there's a hotel in the duty free area you can check into if you need a bed - the hotel rates are hourly! See link below for more info. Bon Voyage. http://www.dubaiairport.com/DIA/English/MainMenu/Airport+Guide/Transit/

Guest roaminnomore
Yes, as AustrAnglian has said. You do go through security which does not leave you masses of time but enough to get a little stuff and a coffee. Ley x
Ike
What the above said. And be prepared to walk for what seems like miles. It's huge!
