Guest sara coleman
We are moving to mandurah, WA, in January and it's just been bought to our attention that my husband might need a hairdressing license. He's been hairdressing for 24 years and has all his apprenticeship papers, would this be enough?
Guest Karen1969
You MUST have a licence to be a hairdresser in WA. Can't think of website off the top of my head, but if you google you'll easy find it. You have to have your own models and do cut and colour - not sure about perming, but I think that too!! If it's mens' hair then that's a separate licence, and I think you have to be able to shave with a cut throat razor!!! :err: Karen
a&s
Hi sara, we are hoping to move within that area to sometime next year.. I am a hairdresser and i have been in this trade for 20 yrs.. I am sorry to say we have to take exams to prove ourselfs AGAIN ! Our paper work does not get much for us and yes we have to have a licence before we can start working, so i hope you know some people out there to use as models ? GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOURS. Hairdressers Registration Board of WA SEE IF THAT HELPS.
